I've just talked to a friend who is working on this. A few new apartment buildings will be created and a data center. They will share a Fernwärmenetz to use the warm water from the data center for heating. Won't be free, of course, but cheaper than having to get 100% of the energy from heat pumps.

To be fair, I've never used Photoshop. I've started using GIMP as an edgy teenager in 2010 to create the 4chan memes your parents laughed at back then. I'd probably think different about GIMP if I ever had the sweet taste of Adobe, but since I didn't, I don't know what I'm missing.

I've been using GIMP for 15 years and it's a great tool for image editing. It doesn't have the cool AI functions that Photoshop had even before generative AI became a thing, but for most common and advanced image editing needs, it's a perfectly suitable tool.

I don't see how anybody could see this and think it's democratizing something. It gives the rich a way to reduce their dependency on the skilled worker, shifting power away from the people with skill to the people with money.

There used to be a promise that if you worked hard and studied diligently, you yourself might be able to capture some of that wealth. Now this option is slowly disappearing.

I've never seen any price displayed in Dogecoin, Safemoon or CumRocket, nor have I ever been offered Shiba, Bitcoin or Monero for anything. It's been almost 20 fucking years and you can't pay shit with crypto. The only thing that works perfectly in crypro is paying bribes to Trump by buying his own shitcoin, which many sketchy rich people have done. No, this is not the salvation you are looking for, it only makes everything worse.

To be fair, crypto only enabled scams, NFTs imploded because of how useless they are and the metaverse seems like a dystopia to most people. AI on the other hand has changed the way I do my job significantly. It's not just a promise, it's a genuinely powerful tool.

I like to imagine that at least some of them are proud that their work has endured. They showed of their bodies and what they can do with them at the peak of their attractiveness. I hope they look back at this and think "Damn I was hot!"
