Before reading this, I was going to share something about salvia as well. Its the only drug where I had actual real life hallucinations. Once after smoking it, my living room was filled with friends in a party/birthday setting (I was actually alone at that moment).

Hotels are fine when you are alone or a couple. When you have (young) kids an appartement or house is much better, where the kids get a room. Hotels have family rooms, but its usually an extra bed in the same small hotel room. Where you basically have to be silent when the kids go to bed and have zero time as a couple.

Even if France would change back exactly to how things where in 1970, that is not going to fix this. People are getting older (so more years retired and more years with extra healthcare) and at the same time there is a lower birth rate. France went from about 3.1 working contributors per retiree in 1970 to just 1.8 in 2024.

Al developed counties have this problem and they all struggle to solve this, France also has a huge debt.

This is why I don't understand the point of the riots. Every time famers in France get less money or more environmental rules, riots. Every time people are told you have to retire later, because the current system is going to collapse, riots. It's the goto move, but almost no structural changes are made. France needs to understand they can't maintain the current system.

When I was in the US it was just confusing sometimes. Like I went to this restaurant to order a pizza, to-go. They had a sign outside and the pizza was like 18 dollars, but when you want to pay its more because of tax, and now they also expected a tip. Ok but it's to go right? So you also tip when getting groceries? The entire system just felt very arbitrary.

Have you seen what happens to animal species that evolve on some island and one day an non native exotic animal is introduced? In a lot of cases that animal goes extinct. Even if we would all magically agree to never attack other counties and all dissolve our army's, only 1 country has to break the packt and we all have a real chance to be invaded. If we are doing imaginary systems, I would suggest a system where we all agree to respect current borders and never invade and all also agree to fight any country that breaks the rule. Sort of a more global and more elaborate NATO.

I needed a fresh install and didn't want a lot of downtime. Cachyos basically worked without much effort so I didn't have a reason to change it.

Edit: I just realized this is more a meme community, if this is not allowed please remove my question

My wife has ADHD, she was officially diagnosed. I never got tested but I would not at all be surprised if I have ADD or ADHD.

My son is almost 6 and I think it's very possible he will develop ADHD.

At school he is the ony child that has his own little desk, because he gets very distracted working in a group.

At home he can completely get absorbed in something he does, like lego or watching tv. To the point where I have to turn the TV off to ask him a question (otherwise he just doesn't respond at all). He forgets to eat or drink when we don't ask him multiple times.

I would like to hear from people that have ADHD, what would you have liked your parents would have done when you where really young?

For example would you think it's better to try to get a diagnose asap or would it be better to wait until he is older?

What other things could work to get daily things done? Like getting dressed without me having to ask 16 times.
