It's funny because one of the main selling points of AI is that it can run 24/7, doesn't need to sleep, eat, or take breaks and it doesn't need a salary. But, if they imply that it is conscious and has emotions, doesn't that mean that it should get a salary and vacations?

We tried that at my job, who are pushing AI down our throats.

I'm not sure how they can say with a straight face that they now expect us to do 300-700% more work (their estimate) for the same pay and the same hours as before, but they apparently can... Just capitalism things I guess.

They also ridiculed the person who asked in front of the whole company.

I'm a developer and I love it, but hate the current state of the field. I would quit my job and start my own company. It would be a lot less scarry if I didn't have to worry about making money. I could just make the things I wanted.

    Probably.

My company is currently pushing "loop engineering" on us... They are in love with Claude and keeps referring to it as "him". Very proudly announce that "I set ut a loop, and he closed 40 PRs while I slept!" (without review, of course). Based on vibe written tickets as well, which contains many hallucinations.

The poor QA department (2 people) is now trying to figure out how to test all the slop.

Of course you have to specifically look for anti-AI research, because the ones making money of AI are flooding the feeds with pro-AI propaganda. You obviously won't find an unbiased view if you're looking for anti-AI research, but you definitely won't find it just scrolling online either, then it will be overwhelmingly positive.

Can you tell me the name of the theme, please? I think it's one I've seen around in YouTube videos, and been looking for for ages, but I've never found the name of it.
