My understanding is the level 3 battery degradation is overstated, and even with heavy use, the battery will stay in pretty good shape.

In the summer, I stick box-fans in the windows, pulling in nice cool air and pushing off the use of AC by a couple months
Of course, since these are cheap CT fans, all they have is a rotary dial (0-3), and no real ability to automate.
I decided to add a 3 channel controller on AliExpress
Since my goal is high WAF, everything needs to work via the orinal controls. This allowed me to still use the original rotary dial, while giving me a HA override
Installation was fine, largest annoyance was the fan was original a switched neutral. Once I figured that out, I moved to a switch hot layout, and the tested. Turned on fan... Err, fine.
Threw in shoe glue as adhesive, and wire protection, and put 'er back together
I've wanted to illuminate my kick plates for a long time, starting with my master bathroom, and rolling out to my secondary and kitchen
Finally started today, with a 100w 24v converter, and a gledopto ZigBee controller
Installation was easy, and the controller was quickly picked up. I previously installed a GFCI protected outlet under my sink, so I just plugged it into there.
I don't have a motion sensor yet, so it's just a timed automation:
Day: bright white, about 40% brightness Evening: warm white, about 20% brightness After 10: almoast amber, and about 1% brightness, just enough to pee by.

Built around a In Win 301c, and wanted a real quiet build, so i went with the Noctua D15 instead of the D14.
It does fit, but its almost impossible to do the clips up.
