I am not denying that having a flagship is good for Motorola or that something they can't pull off.

It's just that the GrapheneOS phone seemed like it was for the tinkering XDA forums custom ROM users. And not many of them drop so much money on a phone. 1500+ phones are for people who want their phone to be a status symbol.

Motorola isn't a status symbol yet, like it was during Razr days. I doubt people who can actually afford this care about GrapheneOS or want to worry about a hundred things that come with non standard OS.

For phones like these, which are primarily going to be used by nerds, tech enthusiasts and tinkerers, this is poor launch strategy from Motorola.

Most of the audience for something like this will be turned off by this and all the hype they generated will fizzle out a bit.

They should have started with a mid range launch first, get enthusiasts to rave about it and then upsell these extravagant features to less involved consumers.

    Fair I guess, I didn't consider this.

But what do we do now? Does this mean we have to prennially live under American imperialism?

And will the Democrats even restart these aid programmes? Especially when the US treasury is under pressure to reduce debt?

This is why I find modern day western liberal imperialism so much worse than what we had in the past. It's like human shield in away.

A lot of the things in the first part were already happening under Trump. Nato has been weakening, US losing credibility as a trade partner, Europe refusing to fight with US in Iran, trade in currencies other than USD increasing.

Now you tell me exactly how you think there will be mass casualties from US losing it's position as a hegemon. What mechanisms will cause these millions of deaths?

Well my ideal detailed position would include dismantling of NATO, expulsion of American troops from all places that are not American territory. Dismantling of the petro dollar and USD led international payments system.

Ideally I'd also want all corporations with revenue over €10M to be coops or nationalised in case of infrastructure (this includes cloud) companies, and incentivisation of unions. And require all international companies to pay their full taxes in every country they operate. Also capping CEO pay, wealth and inheritance taxes etc. This is not US specific but I believe large part of American imperialism is through their corporations.

What do you mean be as detailed as possible? I don't have a crystal ball bro.

From what i can tell from a cursory LLM chat, it seems like millions of deaths are attributed to decreased life expectancy of citizens of former USSR. Well suck it up I guess.

Armed conflict and such direct death toll seems to be at 150k.

Just came across this post in linkedin where this person is telling us how GLP - 1 drugs are causing people to buy less food and in turn generate less revenue for big food companies like Nestlé and Kraft Heinz.

Their solution will therefore be premiumising of food such that even though they sell less in volume, they sell it at higher prices, maintaining bottom lines. This is also called shrink to grow strategy that has been popular in CPG industry last few years (think how dishwasher detergent powder vanished from shelves and got replaced by more expensive pods)

And everyone, not just GLP-1 users will pay for this premiumisation. Your food prices are about to get worse.
