We didn't get any either. Kind of expected. It was the third year in a row at this place. I had a little hope cause some better decorated houses and new families had moved into the neighborhood this year. Starting to wonder if kids even trick or treat anymore or if it's all daytime activities now. 🤷‍♂️

I really relate to that. I also find it really hard to give myself permission to rest and unwind. There's a lot of guilt in there for me about not being productive enough.

I had to start working on it when I burnt out hard earlier this year though.

It sounds to me like you already are doing plenty of things or planning to, so I'll tell you something that was said to me by a therapist once:

It sounds like you're looking at your self worth conditionally. You need to do X, then you'll be Y. The thing is, that's a journey with no end. You'll always find something else you don't have if you think of yourself this way.

You need to work on unconditional self worth. How can you give yourself grace on the days when you just sit around and watch YouTube videos? Are you really worthless if you never learn an instrument?

This may not vibe with you, but one technique I've been told is to think of your child self. Imagine this little girl or boy you used to be standing in front of you. They feel horrible because they haven't done this or that. Would you chastise them for it? Or would you pick them up and give them a hug? They're trying, and that's what matters, even if they don't get exactly where they want in the end.

So to sum it up, your self worth is conditional, and you need to find ways to treat yourself well more unconditionally. The more you can do that, the more confident you'll feel, regardless of what else is happening in life.

Best of luck with this. I have struggled with similar things and still do sometimes. It takes work to change your thinking, and it won't be linear gains.

I've been playing dark souls for the first time, and I didn't understand that I was supposed to bring fire keepers souls to the NPC to actually get the flask upgrades.

From a bit of reading online, it sounds like there's no way to correct this in the game itself and I'm just kinda screwed.

I'm too far in to restart, and I'm wondering if anyone knows a mod or some other method to undo my mistake? Either to give myself the souls I consumed or to upgrade the flask without them?

The time has come for me to get a new TV. I've been dreading this because I keep hearing how shit modern smart TV's are with the ad situation.

Anyone got any recommendations? Even the best of the bad would be a step up from nothing.

I should also note: I'm not looking for any kind of complicated self hosted thing. This needs to be usable by your grandma. 😄

So this has been happening for maybe a week and a half for me. Basically on live streams on YouTube when I go to fullscreen, it instead makes the video take up part of the screen, with the rest black (imagine Twitch theater mode but the chat area is just black).

I thought at first this was a bug in an extension I have which gives a Twitch style theater mode option, but I just tried disabling it and even running Firefox in safe mode. Same problem.

Just curious if anyone else has seen this?

(If anyone knows a better community for this please point me in the right direction!)

My house came with a Frigidaire scratch and dent fridge. I don't know the model but it seems to be the professional line and from my research it seems closest to this one but probably an older model because mine doesn't have a water dispenser.

Anyway, I'm trying to remove one of the door bins because it has a big crack in it I want to glue. I can't get it off though. Everything I've found seems to imply you can simply lift it up, but looking at mine whoever installed this seems to have put them inside a different part of the bin than I'm seeing in tutorial videos. The tab seems totally stuck inside and I can't figure out how to remove it.

Am I boned on getting this out, or does someone know a trick? I'm afraid to pry it away from the side too hard because of the cracked section on one side.

Closeup of tab inside part of the bin. Tutorials seem to imply the part below that is where the tab is supposed to go (with that little roundy part going over and behind the tab).
