There is actually quite a lot of good content on YouTube, there is probably more bad than good content over all but no one forces you to watch the bad stuff.

Would be nice to have this information in sane units instead of whatever this is.

I think the downvotes are for the commenter kind of dismissing OP who poured their heart out, that's just cruel.

They are doing something though, it's called long term planning.

It annoys me so much that the western world has stopped doing it and is just thinking short term.

And ESPhome works very well together with Home Assistant if you want to build stuff yourself.

Just get an ESP32 and a sensor or other device that is supported by ESPhome and you will be able to program and connect it very quickly.

There are also ways to use sensors that are currently not supported by ESPhome by writing a custom component, but that is something that I don't do, too much effort and it's not that easy.

It's also crazy just how many different devices can be connected to Home Assistant. If it is at least somewhat widely used chances are good that someome has already written a plugin to make it work.

The experience with medicare is basically how it is for almost every person in Germany (public health insurance).

The only thing the doctor/hospital care about is that you have the card, you put it into a card reader and that's it. There is also a small part that you have to pay of the price of drugs if you pick them up at a pharmacy.

My wife recently gave birth and the only costs we will have to pay are around 10€ per day for her stay and we had a family room for a few days, which means I could sleep and got food there too, which will cost 50€ per day or so. I don't even know how much the insurance will have to pay to the hospital, it doesn't affect me.

So with insurance it is really cheap and without insurance it would probably still be much cheaper than anything in the US.

This was/is me with the friends I made back in school except two of them.

All except two of them would rather stay inside playing games than do anything that requires the slightest amount of planning.

So I just do stuff like that with the two.

He is not stupid, I think he just has ADHD which means his impulse control is not the best, like when he bought the medieval painting for way too much money.

Of course he could make his life easier by doing those things but then there is no challenge and what's the fun in that.

I only found him just after his house burned down and didn't like him that much back then.

Now I like some of the videos on the second channel. I enjoy watching them because they are just completely random, you knever know what is going to happen next. It's like ADHD as a video.

That's not how the audio works on cinch.

Red is the right channel and white is the left channel, so you need both for stereo.

If you use just one you just hear one side.

It's even worse, when I tell my work Windows 11 computer to shut down and I have to choose update and shutdown because it decided to do updates, sometimes it reboots a few times but then it doesn't turn off afterwards.

I'm never going to install Windows 11 on any of my devices, it's so bad.
