Fields can be dominated by people who are not the best at it - just look at most CEO's.
I grew up with parents who loved to cook and grow their own vegetables - I was always cooking with them. When I moved into an engineering dormitory, I was shocked to learn that absolutely no ~20 y/o around me knew how to cook. Seeing a picture of this plate brought me back - everybody made crap like this.
Also, once I saw a dude trying to boil a whole cheese (his parents were mega-wealthy, and he had never cooked once in his life).
I went to America for the first time a year and a half ago. The biggest culture shock was definitely the horrible infrastructure. Second to that was the amount of dogs that weren't trained at all.
People talk a lot about feeling unsafe in areas like Tenderloin in SF, but being near any of the dumb, giant car traffic made me feel way more unsafe.
I really want to buy the frame, but my old index just keeps going strong. Sold CS skins to buy it back when it was originally released and it was totally worth it.
The performance on linux was unstable when I switched my desktop to linux only a couple of years ago, so i shelved it for a year, but now the performance is absolutely incredible and even more stable than it used to be on Windows. Love the linux VR community and what they have managed to build.
Bazzite seems cool. Used it to set up a game station machine at my workplace and it runs great. My only complaint (and it is tiny, and was quickly fixed by an alias) is the 'rpm-ostree'. For some reason that name is super unintuitive and hard to remember for me.
Honestly, most of those scenes and renders were done on my old shitty ThinkPad T14s. Some of the more hair-heavy ones were rendered on my desktop though (Ryzen 9, RTX 3090, 64GB RAM).
Pretty often you can cut the rendering time by 50-90% by reducing a few settings that you will never notice anyway.
I like to get high, open blender, and just freestyle. Here are a couple of renders:

Does forcing it to write JavaScript count as cruel?
What responsibilities? Most people just assume there are responsibilities and consequences, turns are out there isn't. The newest episode of Some More News is about exactly this.
So happy other people do cool alternative builds like this. I enjoy the idea and creativity, but I will stick with my boring black box filled to the brim with computing power.
Awesome build!
I was so tired of airline bullshit once when going back home from Montreal to Copenhagen, that when the airline tried to split my partner and I from sitting next to each other, so a toddler could move to their parents, I just refused... Until they offered a free upgrade to 1st class.
First time I was ever thankful for a toddler on a plane.
Fight through and it will be worth it!
I quit Unity after their price changes about 2 years ago, and have made 15 small games in Godot since then. It is like the Blender of Game Dev. A little rough at first, and then when it clicks it is a perfect little piece of software that is so much fun to use.
