I feel like the important part is just to be able to remember sounds well enough to do that. You just haven't memorized them directly. The notes and even the entire scale are ultimately arbitrary, so matching the remembered pitches to notes is just some additional memorization.
Dick in chief probably or something like that. In any case a derogatory way of referring to trump.
Thinking it might be a mistake is understandable. Just moving the kid instead of just calling the parents again to confirm is incompetence.
What you wrote about a direct translation is what kind of loses the nuance though.
Imo it's good to be aware of both, but ultimately language is a tool to convey meaning. In some cases it's also kind of impossible to have it both direct and keep the meaning, e.g. english says "on the bus/train" while german says "im bus/zug". German does have a direct translation for "on", which is "auf", but in this case it uses "im", which itself has the direct english translation of "in the" in english. I don't think any dictionary would list "in" as a translation for "on", it's just an etymological quirk that a different preposition is used.
Or more extremely, something like japanese to english, 公園で会いましょう, let's meet in the park, would have to be more literally translated as "using the park as the location, let's meet". (And I don't even know if that japanese sentence is completely correct, just tried to come up with something for locative で).
It's just not practical to always include. Speaking a language means to be able to take a meaning and express it. Translation is deriving the meaning and reexpressing it.
I think the more direct versions can be very useful for learning though. And while nuance does get lost sometimes, it's often unavoidable.
He did regularly exploit everything for maximum profit though, so really he'd still be a problem, even though he's not power hungry. And to protect his wealth he'd totally meddle in politics too (there's probably more than one comic where that happens).
Well, he is at least often shown to have some amount of conscience left. Which is probably more than any real-life billionaire, at least the ones you've heard the names of.
White bread, but most bread sold in stores here isn't white bread.
Granted I don't really know if it's full of preservatives. It does often have added sugar which is already shit (and a kind of preservative i guess).
Persona 5
Expedition 33
Many deckbuilder roguelikes I've played (chrono ark, lost branch of legends, slay the spire, ...) but that might not be what you meant
monmusu quest paradox rpg (warning extremely nsfw)
Ok i was gonna spoiler the last one for mild comedic effect but i forgot how to spoiler tag on here and gave up
I mean, wearing a helmet is still the smarter thing to do. I don't, because I don't go very fast anyway and wearing one feels quite uncomfortable, but it's still always the safer choice.
That said, the actual benefit is vastly reduced if
- you just go at relaxed speeds
- car drivera are very aware of cyclists existing and as such drive more carefully
- good bicycle infrastructure means there are few points of contact with larger vehicles anyway
Since helmets only matter in severe accidents, if your odds of one are very low in the first place, they don't change too much. But you can of course always get unlucky. Just like you can get unlucky with a helmet and ram yourself shoulder first into a tree and break your spine.
The taiwan thing is literally just a social pretense to allow mainland china to "save face". There are extremists that actually want the taiwanese government to rule all of mainland china, but that's just not the popular opinion.
Well it's true that saying taiwan is not china is a bit funny though, but in context anyone with basic readinf comprehension should know what is meant.
Release Hallucination - A Passing Point
Because that's easy, and information on that definitely available. There would never be people in central africa making bank on smuggling people to europe promising that it's their easy ticket to a better life...
/s if that wasn't obvious
In theory sending the immigrants back before they get here should be better for everyone, but I'm always a bit doubtful about the execution. Ideally, I don't think immigration should ever be illegal, but since that's not gonna happen any time soon, this seems like a good thing at least at surface level. But I'm always sceptical with these things.
Cod mw3, which is why i made my account. I think. Maybe it was for that time when l4d2 was free on christmas, whichever came first.
Edit: I checked with the link, mw3 came first. Though it doesn't show up in the list because, being a teenager with not a lot of money, I got it from a keystore. The first one in the list is l4d2, which as mentioned was free, then the first one I actually bought through steam was audiosurf.
