You must have a way bigger home than me. No way am I going to be listening to that jet engine sounding hardware in my house.
The problem with that is that a big chunk of that hardware is in formats that are no good for home use.
Based on how markets responded during the AI stock selloff last week, an AI crash may not actually bring the the broader economy.
So you are also in favour of genocide then? The fuck is the point of your comment?
Oh? And which third party was running that you voted for?
Nah, that's a complete waste of your time. You'd be far better off celebrating by going outside and enjoying the weather.
Fabled? It's perfectly ordinary. I see the D drive all the time. At home it used to be an HDD to store things that didn't need the speed of the SSD (media, documents, etc), and now it's where USB drives end up on my work laptop.
Can’t have that cheat code in science, unless they let their models study the behavior of real ant colonies as part of their reinforcement learning process.
You know, that's actually one of the very few types of use case where I'd be ok with the massive resource consumption of AI data centers. Just feed enormous volumes of raw sensor data into model training and see if it comes up with patterns and connections that we didn't notice.
I've entered my crotchety old man phase early. Amazon has given me an unreasonable hatred of online shopping, and therefore I do everything in my power to find brick and mortar places to shop at.
Before upgrading my server to a DDR4 platform, I'm pretty sure I had bought the last 32 GB kit of DDR3 in the country. Dude at the store was surprised it was even there.
Personally, I'd work on option A. Sudden revolution is going to result in a whole lot of people dead, and there's a strong chance that it just makes everything worse. Quick fixes rarely work long term anyway.
