I think experiencing so much of the earth in such a natural way as walking is really a fantastic expression of the experience of being human. There is a piece in all of us that longs to see the unseen, to journey somewhere far off.

That all said dude took on a challenge to not come back to his home country for what was meant to be 12 but ended up being 28 years and dude had an 8-yo kid at the time.

Seems kinda fucked,no? He coulda taken trips home. Which isn't to say I know anything about the situation. Maybe it was best for all. 🤷 Kid was there for when he got home so.

Two people and a third unnamed person. Two deny knowledge of drugs in car, only two are named. Seems like neither would've gotten jail time so long as they cleaned up and showed up. Though one didn't.

Me thinks third guy ended up under a bus. 👀

It may be more appropriate in its own post, but to facilitate meaningful discussion in line with this post:

It's my opinion this comm should institute a "no venting questions" rule in some form.

Many of the posts here are similiar to the following:

"Why isn't the world in line with my personal beliefs, I'm right?"

"How am I supposed to feel anything good / why are you feeling anything good when bad things exist?"

"Why do people act badly or in ways I do not like?"

The internet is a quite young place over all so it makes sense for a lot of people to still be grappling with the complexity of lifes existential questions, but I think it's a ding to the comm's overall attractiveness that quite so many of the posts are both negatively focused and repetitive.

😂 No oopsies allowed guys, this is serious.

I truly believe a good way to see if a company has had its soul removed is seeing how completely scrubbed of any levity it is internally. This is a great sign imo for how steam runs.

My black co-worker asked me today to reccomend him a white people movie, and he'd give me a black people movie.

At first I reccomended Live Die Repeat (also known as Edge of Tomorrow) then remembered Wes Anderson exists and said anything by him maybe.

He reccomended Salt and The Tourist. I intend to watch them on the weekend.

I've had my G602 so long I have literally no memory of buying it. Definitely since before the 2017 discontinuing so it lasted 10 years atleast. A true hero, absolutely got my money's worth from it.

I felt a bit sad just throwing it away after so much time so I thought I'd make a post about it. Maybe someone wants it for parts, but otherwise atleast I got to share my little sadness for a good quality product that's served me very well.

It stopped staying turned on. Once batteries went in, it would turn on for a few seconds then stop working. Tried what fixes I could find online to no avail.

You can barely customize the buttons on these anymore so it was probably time.

A shame to learn there's really no modern counterpart. Ended up replacing it with a razer basilisk V3 because it was the most similar in shape I could find.

I currently have a sinus infection. That's annoying, but I've noticed for a long time that when I'm sick it's like I don't feel the ADHD symptoms.

I lose the constant slight understimulation and I'm more mentally sharp and content. It's like my body knows I need to rest and actually gives me the mental state to tolerate that.

Obviously it sucks to be sick, but it almost makes it a nice experience for me to be able to actually hone in and make a lot of progress on my projects or whatever without fighting my brain at all.

Anyone else experience this or similar?
