It's also a matter of trust for me. Valve have earned my trust over the years by not being shitty, so I've stuck with them. Epic can give me all the free games they want, but I don't trust them. Same if some other company came out with a better store/launcher. If the company sucks, I don't care how good the app is.

I think the deeper issue is that a lot of people think they're going to be wealthy one day, and propaganda against taxing the wealthy makes them feel like the government is taxing their feelings about being wealthy in the future, causing them to vote against their own interests and prevent themselves from actually becoming more wealthy.

Yeah I love the Smashing Pumpkins' music but Billy has been a known dickhead since at least the mid-90s. I think just about every member of the band aside from Jimmy Chamberlain has rage quit because of him at some point or another. Last thing I heard, everyone from Zwan still doesn't talk to him and they broke up like 20 years ago lol.

You go to a friend's house together. The friend asks how you like your tea, and you have to tell them the wrong tea as well to maintain the lie. This location is now also burned.

One day, a family member comes round and makes you a cuppa the way you actually like it. You now have to gaslight your sibling into thinking they did it wrong. The seed of doubt is planted in your partner, but will never be mentioned.

Or they ask how you like it, and you say, and then they do it wrong and you don't want to complain so you just drink it, then they make you another one and do it wrong again and by that point it's far too late to say anything.

Once outside of the UK I was part of an orderly queue to get on a bus, and someone (who was fully aware of the queue) just walked right to the front and got on and nobody said anything. This was years ago now and I still sometimes think of the audacity lol.
