A trove of internal records from a secret society for powerful figures in US politics, finance, and tech was left exposed online, WIRED has confirmed, naming participants in its events and revealing sensitive personal details they were assured would stay private.

The group, called Dialog, is a private, invitation-only organization cofounded in 2006 by the billionaire tech investor Peter Thiel. It convenes US officials, foreign government figures, and Silicon Valley executives at off-the-record annual retreats. Dialog has spent two decades declining to disclose its members.

A directory in the website's code was first revealed by the Swiss hacktivist maia arson crimew. Known for exposing the US government’s No Fly List and breaching the surveillance-camera company Verkada, crimew tells WIRED the directory surfaced via an anonymous tip. WIRED independently verified its contents.

there are a bunch of other congressmen to. not really surprised bryan johnson is on there, the freak is has drank the koolaid on "blood boy" that thiel is also into(getting blood from his hot young male model who got defenestrated, and likely using clavicular now), bryan johnson basically gets young blood from his son and injects it to himself. he really believes his own bs/pseudoscience of staying young.

Ezra Klein being on the list is so fucking funny. Like, you telling me the “abundance” guy associates with the “techno monarchy” guy? Shocked I tell you, that the guy who’s proposed ideological concept basically just boiled down to “what if we deregulated stuff further to make economy good?” Is deeply tied to tech oligarchs.

I think that concentrating too much wealth / power into a person’s hands affects their mental health.

I think cause and effect are exactly opposite here: you have to be exceptionally, sociopathically greedy to want to become that rich, and then work towards it. Imagine all the actively harmful and antisocial decisions each billionaire has to make to increase their wealth. I believe most people just aren't cut out for it.

But of course wealth/power then serves as an amplifier.

It's definitely this. The Venn diagram between psychopaths and billionaires is a circle. Hell it's almost a circle just with CEOs in general.

The lack of empathy is a massive advantage to operating in the corporate world.

I'm not sure, I think money does corrupt all but the steeliest of hearts. Right now I wish I made a little more so we could accomplish several goals we want. Once those are done, there are loftier long-term goals! Like many, I doubt I'll ever be satisfied with my income, because I'm ambitious in the rest of my life. If I won a million dollars, I like to think I'd be satisfied because I could get those things done, although I'd still have to work. But... at that point I'd want more, so I could retire early and have more time to spend on the rest of my life. Now if somehow I got that much money - I like to think I'd be satisfied. But we can see time and again how that doesn't happen. There'd be something else just out of reach. Our capability to want is near endless, and it's a hunger that gets worse the more you feed it.

So really I don't fool myself into thinking I'm immune to it, and I'm not a sociopath.

There is overlap between that Dialog member list and the Epstein files. I don't have time to go through it right now, but at first glance just skimming the Bluesky list, Larry Summers is in the Epstein files, as is Peter Attia.

I'd bet anything they're not the only ones on both, either. If I get the opportunity I'll look through it later and see if I can spot more.

    I found this rather amusing:

The form also gathers sensitive answers, including each registrant’s "political leaning,” which Dialog promises “WILL NOT be shared in the app or with other participants, ever.” That data, and the matchmaking responses, were exposed in the leak.

Fair play to Wired to release this and draw attention to it when their former Editor in chief is on it.

There are also some names here that seem to be missing from elsewhere, maybe because they're part of an earlier leak?

The leaked registration list also names senior figures absent from the public directory of 113: Randy Kroszner, a former governor of the Federal Reserve who now serves on the Bank of England's Financial Policy Committee; Hallie Hoffman, a former general counsel and acting chief of staff of the Drug Enforcement Administration; Jonathan Greenblatt, the chief executive of the Anti-Defamation League; Peter Goettler, the president of the Cato Institute; Ryan Stowers, the executive director of the Charles Koch Foundation; and Roger Myerson, a Nobel laureate economist at the University of Chicago.

Greenblat couldn't have been more obvious

I'm just saying that there are no innocent people likely to be invited to such a convention (reading the guest list included in that article, this suspicion seems to hold true -- the ADL, the Cato Institute, the Koch Foundation -- ew.), and the Irish have a history of asymmetric warfare and resistance against the powerful that gets results and doesn't solely cause tragedy. They certainly seem to be much better at it than we Americans are. And having advance notice of when and where such a gathering is could be useful to the right person in the right place at the right time.

wishful thinking on my part, but god, how often do you hear "a great number of rich and powerful evil bastards ruining the planet, most of the ones worth knowing, are going to be gathering at this time and place" and not wish for something to happen? An asteroid. A car bomb. A sinkhole swallows their hotel. Something.
