Like the meme I saw (and felt) on Mastodon yesterday that said something like "Living in Florida right now is like being that one kid in the orphanage watching all the other kids get adopted into happy new families".

fuckin'-A right I voted. I vote every election, even tho I live in an extremely red district in Floriduh. The last person who I voted for to have actually won their election was Barrack Obama. It often feels like a waste of time, but I refuse to sit it out.

We just came back from western NC with a peck each of Pink Ladies, Staymen Winesaps, and some Braeburns. We were too late for the Honeycrisps. Oh yeah, we also got a dozen apple donuts, a dozen apple fritters, and 6 apple muffins! Yeah, Barber's Orchard got a fat wad of our cash :)

we've just been filling ours with the black sunflower seeds instead of the mixed stuff. Instead of raking out everything to get to the sunflower seeds, they just hang out and eat. Plus, me and the dogs have a lot of fun running them off. It's turned in to quite a game. Some of the smarter squirrels notice me spotting them through the windows and haul ass before I can make it to the door. Sometimes they'll have a lookout posted while them buggers are hitting all three feeders at once. Unfortunately, we haven't been seeing nearly as many here lately tho. We just went through hurricane Isaias and I'm afraid it hurt our squirrel population. We've got trees down everywhere :(

yeah I was kinda surprised by the brand, but it was what they had available as non-smart. I won't brag about the quality, because when I first plugged it in, I was really disappointed by the sound quality. Tinny and not much volume. I figured out that the right speaker wasn't working, and instead of sending it back, I hooked my boombox I listen to music with up to it and it sounds great.

I'm getting events added to my Galaxy phone's calendar. One was supposed to be an invitation to confirm my $400 order with McAfee, (this happened twice in the last week, and another similar one for a Microsoft service that popped in while I was looking at and deleting the first one. It literally appeared while I was looking at it, and was scheduled for about 3 hours later tonight. I deleted it immediately. Scam emails and text messages I can understand, but how in the hell are they putting this shit in my phones calendar? They have a lot of text in them and links that appear as phone numbers. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? I'm worried I've got some kind of mal-ware on my phone...
