Podcasts are an audio first format, therefore quality of audio is like the most important thing.

High quality audio recording requires a high quality microphone, and that microphone should be close to the speaker's mouth.

Video quality, and presentability of a podcast's set are necessarily lower priority than the audio clarity and quality.

I won't shame somebody who would otherwise literally die of starvation if they hunt, buther, cook, and eat non-endangered animals for food.

That's about as understanding as I'm gonna get. I suppose I may disrespect slightly less someone's regular meat consumption if they went through all the time and effort themselves.

Population control is a copout. We should reintroduce the predators that were preventing overpopulation in the first place.

Except as I'm typing this out, I remember the dog who lives with us and how we feed him meat based dog food since that's what his biology requires. So I'm rather selective and inconsistent about meat sourcing here, so I don't quite know how to conclude this comment at this point so I'm gonna just send it

imagine being a player in a game lobby and some random other player says this to you. even just imagining it is sobering.

good on the other player for stepping up.

Hands down the best 240p content on Youtube. The music is incredible, his stage presence is SO much fun, and the whole band is just killing it, and looking like they're having the best times of their lives doing so.

Roger Troutman was an incredible musician. Exceptional guitarist, keyboardist, vocalist, and probably most famously, incredibly expressive with a talkbox.

It always makes me so sad to think about what he could have achieved if not for his untimely death (likely murder-suicide by his brother). But he left so much awesome music for us to enjoy.

I first learned of Roger when I started working at a roller skating rink as a DJ. There were so many Zapp & Roger songs that would get regularly requested, and I pretty quickly grew to love them too. A bunch of the regular skaters had a whole damn-near choreographed routine around some of these songs, especially Do Wa Ditty and Computer Love (the latter of which was ALWAYS "backwards skating only", which was kind of a way to clear the floor of some of the less capable skaters and let the regulars really go for it).
