Voting blue "doesn't matter", a drop in a red ocean, until suddenly the Senate seat is being decided by less than a thousand votes because there were a LOT of drops in that ocean.

I always do it every election just in case there's a miracle. You never know.

Where I live in Florida and FL overall has been feeling like this lately, but hey we got our first black governor (MAGA, not even from Florida, he's from Brooklyn, expunged conviction for felony fraud, Born again Christian after having a conversation with God while working at a cracker barrel at 21, who's wife is a Mom's for Liberty Nazi and a charter schools grifter), yay!

There really was a lot of cheating in florida this election, don't take it out on your fellow floridians.

Thanks for this, yeah central Florida also had massive flooding the days before the election as well, but Miami has been a hotbed of corruption since stealing the election for George Bush during the Brooks brothers riots.

But I will say this, my kids hang around a lot of people their own age and bring them around the house and family, it's amazing how many of these lil ignorant twits don't believe in space or the moon landing (we live where Cape Canaveral is and can watch launches all year around), as well as bad hot takes on so many other issues. I know the education has been destroyed here, but it's really bad, these kids are really dumb and too narcissistic/egotistical to change their minds when confronted with factual evidence. So the future is not so bright, and the people my age or older are also full of idiots who lived through major space related events here but are still sucked into the cult of conservative ignorance currently known as MAGA.

I get it, but it really was close and there was a shit ton of cheating, so it can't be entirely bad. The maga spell is slowly dissolving and it won't go much lower than 30% across the board. Florida is probably keeping the average higher. I've met some amazing gen z and a, I have hope.

TBF, I've been voting here since 2003, realistically this election is as close as the last elections, Andrew Gillum almost won in 2018, under some really suspect results that nobody cared about after Gillum was busted with drugs in Miami of all places, not to get all conspiratorial, but really felt like a setup. Christ was fairly close to Desantis in 2022, Alex Sink was nowhere near close in 2014, and so on, it's usually a pretty tight race for governor and senator regardless of who's running, and there's always something interesting going on in Miami during each election.

Overall I don't want to just claim there's conspiracy here, but this place is super corrupt and struggling as much as they can to be as backwards as they can.

I'd leave if I could afford it and if my family would come, but when you have elderly parents, those mofos are stubborn about any kind of change in their daily lives, and then I have my older kids and the families they're married into.

It's not a conspiracy if they're admitting to it and doing it before our eyes. They're absolutely cheating.

... But whether Democrats will go along with this strategy remains unclear. Moderate Democrats have argued that the Biden administration’s aggressive crackdown on corporations drove potential allies into the Republican camp and helped contribute to Trump’s reelection in 2024. A similar agenda in the run-up to the 2028 presidential election risks alienating many Americans and squandering the advantage on the economy Democrats have finally seized after Trump’s tariffs and war on Iran, said Ben Ritz, vice president of the Progressive Policy Institute, a centrist think tank...

Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Maryland), the top Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee, told The Washington Sun that his staff has been reviewing potential investigative opportunities but also downplayed the extent to which Democrats plan to attack businesses.

“We’re not targeting particular corporations,” Raskin said. “We’re targeting systems and networks of corruption, and to the extent corporations are involved, they are subject to the oversight project of Congress and our subpoena authority like everyone else.”

He's a lawyer, he knows that he can't specifically say, "We're going after Musk's companies" because that would seem like he's targeting certain companies. He's saying that he's going after corruption, so if you're corrupt, be afraid. Source, I know a lot of lawyers.

Whatcha mean? Mississippi is seemingly getting a blue senator, which I believe, is the point behind the post.

Has it been called yet? The margin is slim af, I wouldn’t count this one in the bag until they’re done counting. But Texas AND Mississippi going blue in the same election would be incredible

  • The key idea isn’t actually that Mississippi might go blue, it’s the margin. The fact that it’s so small means that if more people had actually voted instead of just doomer-posting and convincing others it’s not worth it, the result could be entirely different.

West Virginia was once reliably Blue but those days are long gone and the Face Eating Leopard's party has completely taken over. Now I just do my part and vote against republicans and the other boot-licking pieces of human waste that are in power in this state, but I know my vote is a tiny blue drop in the ocean of red. Super happy to see the flips in other states though so maybe there is a chance someday...
