The remaining MAGA holdouts in the Senate will block Democrats calling for impeachment.

But, there is an interesting possibility... If the call for his ouster comes not from the Democrats but from JD Vance executing Section 4 of the 25th Amendment, GOP Senators and Representatives have sufficient cover to support it.

10 years ago, JD Vance was very vocal about his hatred for Trump...

I'm one of those weirdos who thinks the House should do its part, even if they know the Senate won't follow through.

But yes, c'mon JD. You can do it!

What worries me is that the only real path Vance has to the presidency in 2028 involves him finishing out Trump's term. He'd take the wind out of Democratic sails with his coup, and revitalize the GOP. He could be in office until 2036 if he coups Trump after January 20th.

Yes, but taking that risk is better than two more years of trump.

Trump is low intellect idiot and moron who was administered test used to measure cognitive decline in dementia patients.

To my knowledge, Vance is neither of these things.

Do you really believe that smart evil is better option than dumb evil?

Personally I think vance is so deeply unpopular that even if he's "Smart evil" he's not nearly smart enough to capture the MAGA cult that exists around trump.

Which means WHEN, not if, he does something fucking stupid, the maga crowd won't make the same excuses for him that they will for trump.

Then the entire party implodes. The cult fractures, republicans scramble, and we all laugh.

Vance is an opportunist. He does or says whatever he needs to say. For example, In 2016, he was a "never Trump guy"

It means that he'll suck up to whoever he needs to suck up to in order to advance his own interests. His spinelessness is how he managed to get where he is.

With Trump's midterm implosion, an opportunist is free to attack Trump era policies. He can potentially thread the needle. He can argue that as VP, his job was to support the president's agenda wholeheartedly, even if he disagreed with it. He can point to his 2016 "never Trump" creds to show that he didn't think Trump was right for office, but that the public disagreed, and supporting the will of the electorate was more important than his personal beliefs.

Now that the public has turned so hard against Trump, Vance can claim he is now obligated to act in accordance to his constituents.

Opportunist doesn't necessarily mean "truly evil". The only people around for him to suck up to will be blue, or out of power.

I do. It takes a special kind of dumb to do this much damage to the country. Where's he gonna go when he's done?

I don't trust Vance, but all I really know about him is that he'll lie for power. He could turn out to be relatively fine.

3.Misusing the office for an improper purpose or for personal gain

This doesn't make sense in this meme template. Giorgio Tsoukalos originally says "Aliens" and he's wrong. So impeachment is...not the answer?
