Personally I think vance is so deeply unpopular that even if he's "Smart evil" he's not nearly smart enough to capture the MAGA cult that exists around trump.

Which means WHEN, not if, he does something fucking stupid, the maga crowd won't make the same excuses for him that they will for trump.

Then the entire party implodes. The cult fractures, republicans scramble, and we all laugh.

as far as "national" chains go, Costco is pretty good if you have space to buy things in bulk. You can stock up on essentials that last forever, and if you have freezer space you can save a ton on various food products by purchasing bulk and freezing. They also have some pretty killer deals on electronics and other stuff. Yes it's membership based, but it's not too hard to get your value out of that if most of what you buy and use is from Costco.

Also even if it texas DID pass that, we probably don't want to rely on texas staying blueish forever. The ideal scenario for the compact is a decent amount above 270 so even if one state fucks up and goes all red and drops out, it still exists.

I'm cooped up at home right now cause I've got a virus of some kind, and it made me think what do you like to do when you're home sick?

My partner is lovingly bringing me anything I ask for (lots of hot tea, inexplicably large quantities of hash browns) and I'm laying in bed watching TV and it's been quite nice considering I am feeling like shit.

It makes me think about how growing up my dad never took care of my mom the way she took care of him, and the way my partner is taking care of me. I know there are endless stories similar to my mom, but I'm kinda rambling here now.

Hopefully you stay in good health, but if you did get sick, what is your ideal sick day?
