I thought they is inclusive not exclusive and not necessarily an identifier per se. Like, it's been used that way forever etc. being the case made to use it as a natural, respectful, go to for all people. Has she asked not to be referred to this way specifically or have I misinterpreted something?

    Montgomery, a software engineer...

Fuck yeah, Alabama! For this, I promise not to make fun of you for the rest of the week.

Rigsby repeatedly targeted Montgomery’s transgender identity during the closing days of the election. Montgomery responded by emphasizing that voters were more concerned about everyday challenges facing Alabama families.

This is the strategy Democrats nationwide have always needed to play. Don't cave on culture war bullshit; pivot to the issues people actually care about. People care about things like inflation and data centers a lot more than they ever cared about anything related to transgender people.

Now that the bitches won in Ohio and South Carolina by jumping on the hate train, Im really worried that Democrats will take that as proof that shitting on trans people is a winning strategy.

I just moved away from AL due to eroding trans rights. This is wonderful to see!

Folks are going to learn fast trans leopards exist, and voters can be transphobic. South Carolina got a transphobe Senator. Arizona, Washington, and Colorado implemented antitrans legislation. Democrats are not supporting trans folk. Etc. etc..
