  • Laid Back Camp - Exactly what it says on the tin
  • Supercub - Schoolgirl gets a little motorscooter and it expands her world
  • Restaurant to Another World - Restaurant Isekais once a week and then cooks the locals food
  • K-On! - High school girl joins a band
  • My Roommate is a Cat - Lonely writer adopts a cat/cat adopts a human
  • Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid - A little wilder than some of the other ones here, but still quite cozy

These are ones I've seen and would recommend

Most CGDCT and Iyashikei anime are cozy, but here are those that are especially cozy to me:

    • ARIA
    • Hidamari Sketch
    • Gochuumon wa Usagi desuka?
    • Non Non Biyori

I love Aria. The scariest thing that happens is in one episode when a gondola has to navigate...a wave. Not a big one, just a biggish swell. OR the episode where the characters are late to a thing and have to rush. When they arrive the place is closed. They got the date wrong and it's for tomorrow. I think my pulse went up 1 maybe 2 beats for about 4 seconds.

As someone who enjoys hiking and the outdoors I found Solo Camping for Two very cozy.

I don't know the exact names, but they should be close enough.

My time at the breakwater - awwducational fishing anime

DIY-do it yourself - literally a girls club about building home projects

Wage slave and the baby ghost - this is a moe anime. It is significantly more cute than anything else... And they had to nerve to make a Christmas episode. I got choked up. Plot line basics are, ghost haunts an office building and attempts to scare off overworker(s) so they don't die of exhaustion.

Izakaya isakai-restaurant to another world. It's a short cozy series where each episode is about a menu item. Unlike the other extremely closely names restaurant in another world, this one stays put. The front door opens to the other world, the back door to Japan. The second half of each episode is a live action bit to explain more about the food and show a bit of cooking.

Am I allowed to say Frieren here or is that too much of a normie answer? But it has a mix of stuff so it's not fully cozy.

Season 1 of Kemono Friends. It's so relaxing. The Dangers in my Heart. Even the "bad guy" is actually nice and helpful later.

When I'm under a lot of pressure and work becomes to stressful those two calm me down and refill my energy meter.

    Azumanga Diaoh

    Lucky Star

and because I am weird like that, FLCL is also oddly comforting.

    It's... It's so not.

Edit: it is a great series, but it's as far from a cozy slice-of-life show as you can get without being a seinen battle series. Like, things Planetes has that definitely don't show up in cozy or SOL:

    • Radiation sickness
    • Cancer
    • Suicide
    • Asphyxiation
    • Kessler Syndrome
    • Multiple terrorist attacks
    • Graft
    • Constant smoking
    • Hijackings
    • Frame-ups
    • Spaceships as WMDs
    • Hachi's dad

    Just to name a few.

Further edit: are you thinking of Space Brothers instead?
