This is so sweet. My sister is like this with languages, soaks them up like a sponge. She went to a classical languages specialized high school and learned those too.

The joy of being in a foreign land and hearing a piece of home needs a word. It's so specific like an anti-homensickness that it deserves to be named.

The number of languages this guy switches between means he must bring this joy to so many people. Thank you for sharing! This was wonderful.

The amazing thing with this guy is that hes not a faker. Usually these guys learn a few phrases from a language like chinese or japanese and go to the respective part of town where they speak it and try to impress people. This guy actually knows so many languages that he doesnt "speak" them actually, couldnt hold a real comversation but thats not even the point. Knowing a hundred words from a hundred languages is ten thousand words. Plus a bit of grammar and pronounciation plus french for example and probably a few other languages he actually speaks better and you see how this guy is genuinely impressive even tho he doesnt actually "know" every language as thats not what hes trying to do.

I always think about how intelligent these guys have to be to be able to flip between several different languages like this. Great vid!

It's always fun to watch these polyglots that go for breadth learning the minimum viable conversable set of phrases of a huge amount of languages. He doesn't know how to have an actual conversation, but that's not the point. He makes people happy and has fun at the same time.
