I dunno who all is actually putting on a costume to go out or stay in and hand out candy or whatever, but what're your ideas? Bonus points for wordplay, visual puns, and topical references

Go as the number 4, with a "Hello, my name is: CA private key" sticker

I'll share the low-effort one I thought of that inspired me to ask this, which to just write the number 4 in black marker on a white tee and go as a certificate authority, but I expect y'all to have better ideas.

I don't really do that but I am meaning to have something this year with my face covered just to maximize the number of covered faces this holloween.

I’m going to my work thing as “guy who sat next to you on the bus.” Sliders, fluffy sweats, t-shirt that’s a little too small, crooked bathrobe, tie, camo hat with a little tinfoil peeking out. Considering some conspiracy nut appropriate things to carry around in a Target bag, but my guy is a “Moon landing? You believe in the moon?” type of nut. I’m going to win all the prizes unless the government tries to stop me. Again. The same way the Reverend Moon shot JFK from the grassy knoll. They covered it up by saying the astronauts were doing a moon shot to muddy the waters. That’s why they made up the moon and the moon landing.

If I don’t win, I’ll at least give them a lot to talk about.

A few years ago my nephew wanted the whole family to dress up as the Mickey Mouse club house group and he assigned me to be Minnie Mouse. I built a costume from off the shelf clothing (and a set of ears). I’m going to wear it until he’s in high school at least.

My toddler is going to be dressed as Snow White because apples are their thing at the moment! I've got my lazy evil queen get up ready (sweatshirt with minimalist queen face and black leggings). Toddler proof, matches how they see me sometimes, and has extra life as a fun sweatshirt after Halloween.

Do they have a favorite apple, or just any apple? And toddler-proof seems like the most important property for a theme costume with a toddler.

It's any apple, preferably the one that's in my hands even though they have some that's been lovingly peeled and chopped into bite sized slices. They're also learning to talk so it's been the cutest "ah-bool" requests!

Father Thyme with like 4 lbs (1.8144 kg) of thyme from my garden made into a ghillie suit.

Or I could use the basil bushes on a dragon or dinosaur costume and be a basilisk.

I have to trim probably 100 ft (30.48 m) of wisteria vines that I could make a swamp thing, Groot, or ent costume with.

Just came up with those because I realized I don't have one and I have a lot of gardening to get done.

I grabbed some vinyl and plain black shirts and printed Team Rocket shirts for my partner and I. We even have a ton of pokemon plushies to complete the fit.

I mean, I did have plans that have fallen through, but I did have a costume idea. Basically, all I needed was a long sleeve button up, some pants I could intentionally pyt some small holes/rips in, and some fake blood stuff for those.

My plan was wearing my fursuit head/paws/tail and being a killer anthro 3 eyed snow leapord.

But without any Halloween plans, I have zero incentives to pull it off. Especially since I get zero trick-or-treaters at my apartment. I just want an excuse to wear my suit a little more to get used to wearing it for extended periods of time outside of my home, but nooooooooo! Life says no Halloween plans for me!

Space invader? (Because I invade women's spaces 🙃😔)

I'll probably just end up being a catgirl though like every thing I ever dress up for lol
