I played the demo during NextFest and I will most certainly be buying the Early Access, if nothing else because it is much cheaper than the full release will be. Whether I actually play the EA or wait until 1.0 remains to be seen. And whether I am capable to decipher enough of the game to actually be able to beat said 1.0 release? Who knows.

What I do know is that the art is striking, the music banging and the writing is dense, distinctive and either poetic or lunatically gibberish (jury still out). The arcadey real-time bullet hell type ship combat is also quite fun.

I'm not familiar with splattercat but I'll keep an eye on him. Would be interesting to see a crunch-experienced veteran try to figure this game out, hah.

Sorry about your wallet then, haha. :) He's got a lot of videos and a lot of reviews. I assumed almost everyone already knew about the nerd castle. He's a pretty prominent and prolific reviewer of indie games (about to hit 1 million subs on Youtube) with a slight but noticeable lean and appreciation for the grittier, gorier, creepier and crunchier side of indie gaming that a lot of the usual "cozy indie" communities lack. It's a good place to be if you appreciate that kind of stuff.
