There are instances that federate together as a single sort of entity.

So, are there other entities? Meaning, is there a group of Lemmy instances somewhere outside of the existing ones we see here?

And, how do I get there, and which one don’t have people from the USA?

Well if you provide the username I can look it up and see the reasoning.

You gonna ban YourBestFriend? You would, wouldn’t you?

Only if you go against the rules

:bc_eyeroll: Riiight, if I wanted to ban you for your previous account I could have simply just done that. All the username does is verify your story because for now and with what I know of why I tend to ban users you sound extremely sus.

You can ban me for whatever. You don’t need to actually follow your rules lmfao, that’s for me to have to follow.

I'm not above the instances rules.

And yes eye rolling at your needlessly antagonistic behavior. I'm not surprised you get kicked out of most spaces if this is how you act.

I remember my first week on Lemmy. It was a few years back. I went to a place that I now know of as news@lemmy.world. I saw a post about something life threatening regarding Trump. I forget what exactly. I commented “haha, good.” Several minutes later I was perm banned by jeffw. That’s about the time I realized this place wasn’t any different than Reddit, a place I never got banned from in the 10 years I was there, and I should treat people how they treat me.

So I guess thank jeffw for creating the monster you see before you. 🙂🙃🙂

LW has some contentious moderation decisions. I generally avoid it where possible.

I have no problems with you saying Nazis should die or laughing at the death of someone shitty. I also honestly have no recollection of ever banning someone simply for being “uncivil” because another mod asked, to the point where I think you might be leaving some of the story out.

Nor do I think you’re a monster, but I do think you could ease up on the hostility a bit.

Anyway I guess, welcome to the instance.
