$1 Million dollars is a lot of money and with these options you're risks are: overdoing a pleasant snack (onion), discovering a new delicacy (century egg), an unpleasant flavor and texture (grub), or like twenty cumulative minutes of fiery pain (carolina reaper).

For $100, none of these are worth it unless we're allowed to prepare them in some sort of dish. For $1000, I'll eat a raw onion. For $10,000, anything but the grub, even all three.

For $1 Million? I'll eat all four of these, raw (possibly wriggling), and ask for seconds, if required. I'd be a fool to do otherwise.

When it comes to really hot peppers, its more than the pain going in. They strike again on the other end. I didn't think about that the first time I ate a ghost pepper and then spent the next day roaming around Washington DC.

For me it's the heartburn and the hiccups. My mouth and anus can take the hottest peppers in the world, the rest of me really can't.

Oof. I can't imagine that kind of heartburn. I've only had normal hb once from too many chicken wings but I do remember feeling like my stomach was empty all day even after eating food. It made me feel a bit weak for several hours.

For a single reaper, sure. For the entire container of them that's probably at least the rest of your day ruined.
