What a fantastic material. permalink fedilink source hideshow 4 child comments replies: [–] frunch@lemmy.world 3 points 10 months ago (2 children) I've been getting into stained glass lately. The textures and the various "dichroic" styles and swirly colorful patterns on some of them are absolutely amazing. I'm really lucky to live near a giant place that deals specifically in stained glass and it's a treat for the eyes just to look at all the beautiful glass they have there. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] TunaLobster@lemmy.world 2 points 10 months ago (1 child) I took a class on Tiffany style. Super cool stuff. Expensive for the material, but the skill level to get started and have something decent is super low. Glad I learned about it! permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 1 child comment replies: [–] frunch@lemmy.world 1 point 10 months ago Nice!! Love that style! I took a copper-foil stained glass beginners course and turned out a pretty nice 1st attempt. Very excited to see what else i can do... Just in the process of gathering the needed tools and materials to start making some pieces in my own little shop... permalink fedilink source parent [–] arctanthrope@lemmy.world 2 points 10 months ago you might enjoy this video (Angela Collier - the most important material in science) https://youtu.be/1eUI38MpiYo permalink fedilink source parent
