I personally think there is a question to why it's costing $140 per tree. I bet some folks would happily do it for vastly cheaper. Especially given their plan of volunteers doing it.

However they're right. Drop services, increase taxes.. tale as old as time in KW.

"Owen said he’s still angry about the permanent marker and is working to cover it up. He’s contacted several graffiti companies to inquire about the removal."

oh... fucking grow up. No, you will not get a cash settlement from Jeff Bezos.

    Serious.

If you ever call 911 for a medical emergency, send someone* outside to flag down the ambulance.

*Ideally, there's one person to stay on the line with the 911 operator. The operator will be able to give first aid instructions.

In the U.S. at least, a new house doesn't get a certificate of occupancy without permanent numbers attached to the house.

I wonder if he removed his, as he's a home builder, since apparently, it's a law there, too.

Sounds me like he Streisand himself.

This story likely alerted inspectors who sent him a letter to fix this within a set amount of time before fines start stacking.

You want things delivered, you need a house number. Troll.

In the City of Waterloo, there is a bylaw requiring homeowners to have a clearly visible house number displayed on the property. Owen said his family has since ordered the numbers for their house.

The provincial government is making it clear it has no respect for municipal representatives, and literally any decision on any mundane portfolio from zoning to transit to development is subject to being overruled based on whomever bribes the Premier's office most recently. Serious candidates are going to look elsewhere if they have that option.

Having said that I am happy to be able to vote for Scott Piatkowski
