Interesting the governorship and federal races went blue, but the house is still 55-60% red along with a majority of other statewide races. A rebuke of the feds while still supporting their local guys?

I have to admit I'm impressed. She stole drugs from so many hospitals, violated her parole and probation restrictions repeatedly, banned from practicing in multiple states, practiced with a revoked license anyway, has yet to pay a $600 fine to the nursing board after 7 years, and yet always gets more chances just by asking to be reinstated.

If she wasn't constantly relapsing she could be running a successful political campaign by now, although I guess it's never too late!

    Another angle on this

Then, this July, the deputy sheriff of Red Oak, Iowa called Norris up and told him to surrender himself or else they would come and arrest him. Norris now faces up to five years in prison on a felony charge over a verbal disagreement he had with other election officials, who he said weren’t following the proper rules for counting absentee ballots.

The prosecution would be concerning during any administration. But it’s particularly alarming at a moment when President Donald Trump is engaged in an unprecedented nationwide assault on voting — including making probing election crime a top priority. His administration has regularly signaled that it wants a focus on election cases — a message heard loud and clear by prosecutors at every level.

Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird (R), whose office brought the case against Norris — as well as numerous other election cases — has been one of the leading state prosecutors backing the president’s attack on the right to vote.

I wasn't familiar with this case, so searched for another article that describes the alleged crime. From https://www.3newsnow.com/southwest-iowa/red-oak-man-charged-with-felony-election-misconduct-takes-stand-in-own-defense-as-jury-deliberates

Prosecutors allege he hindered the ballot count by interrupting, asking too many questions and slowing down the ability of the board to get the count done in time.
State witness Jeanice Lester was the chair of the ballot counting board. "I felt that in all the years that I served I have never witnessed or been involved in something that took so much time," she said.

And from the OP article, he spent $50,000 in legal fees. Maybe he was a poor choice for ballot worker, but that's the fault of the selection process - someone who needs the rules explained to them over and over and over should have been screened out way before election day. Punishing the person for a system problem is unfair to the person, benefits no one, and is a waste of taxpayer resources. Ugh.

Would have been hilarious to see the pastor squeaking away “oh my it’s a CURSE and you ALL KNOW THAT” hyperventilating

Billy Bob, we’ll survive. Your kind have been trying to curse gay people for 60 years with no effect.

When you're young and you think that the adults know what they're doing and then you grow up and you realize they're having city Council meetings to undo curses because they believe in fairy tales.

they're killing+disappearing civilians, built concentration camps, ignore the courts and support people who say they unironically love Hitler. ignoring all the public nazi salutes and quoting Hitler or Goebbel, what does it take to believe its fascism?
