They're fun!

Don't be concerned by how wet & sticky the dough is after you mix it up, a very light coating of oil (I just drizzle some on the counter and spread it around) helps handling while cutting it into pieces, and a short rest helps the dough get smooth & elastic.

I have and use a tortilla press for corn tortillas, but have never tried it with wheat flour. Could be fun to try, or a good way to let kids get involved since rolling pins are a little tricky.

These are so soft & resilient it's only about 3 passes to roll each one out and they rarely tear, it goes faster than I can cook them even when I'm making eggs & greens at the same time.

These look great! You should get yourself a tortilla press

Saves your counter and elbow grease, plus you can dial in the thinness a bit easier. Some wax paper also helps reduce the amount of dusting flour

It certainly isn't for impatient people, since day one is feeding the starter, day two is making the dough, and day three is baking.

I'm also happy to answer any and all questions. Identifying how things are progressing and whatnot is very tactile, and i benefited from having a mom who had baked for like 40 years when I was learning
