Look into cognitive behavioral therapy. You don't necessarily need to see a therapist for this if you don't need to be held accountable.

Ideally, the goal is finding a pleasurably and healthy replacement behavior. A sport or hobby that distracts you and becomes important in your life.

Home Assistant got a larger STT recognition model thanks to openvino (on an Intel NUC). The intent was to get better recognition of music artists names.

It's better, but not perfect. Instead I'm scraping the music directory for names and injecting them into a database that the automation can query.

It's interesting how we supply details (such confident ones!) when we don't have the full story.

Our Internet need to define outcomes as "success" or "failure" tends to override the curiosity about the actual events.

It sounds like the project had some varying outcomes, and then just fizzled due to lack of energy.

When the power goes out that happens. Candles and / or flashlights come out, the Internet is down, and we experience some discomfort.

Often times, though, we can "lean into" the current situation and learn new things and even have some fun.

The point of the article is to pay attention to your habits of reliance, not to eliminate them. It's a confidence booster to know that you can exist without an LLM, the Internet, or electricity.

Salmon is always mind blowing. My salmon is always juicy and delicate, but crispy is new, so I'll try.

How did you cut the salmon into the smaller pieces? Against the grain?

I'm sending through a vps and have properly set up all the things (dmarc, dkim, spf, et al).

It was years ago when I set up, but I spent some time trying to get the mail to go through (wife uses Hotmail). The rabbit hole led me to a service I could purchase that would allow the mail to go through. Many fora articles paralleled my own experiences.

I don't send spam, and my "reputation" is good. I'll look into it again.
