I had one that was mostly fine with my plants but then decided to eat the new frilly one I'd planted which got her the name "Bad Bad". She ended up laying a few clutches of eggs but they weren't viable. It was really cool to watch her laying them

But I love snails in the aquarium. They're one of the first things I throw in there to get it started, all of the "pest snails." Malaysian trumpet snails are amazing because they burrow so they mix up the substrate and they also exhibit parthenogenesis and don't need to mate to procreate. They are also live-bearers so the little bitty baby snails just crawl out of the momma fully formed, but tiny!

I don't like making people upset or feel bad. That does really upset me so I avoid it as much as possible. But, I do have my limits

First - I had an acquaintance that used me and my number for marketing calls. After a few of these calls I was thoroughly annoyed and the next time I got a call, and the lady read out to me my list of potential prizes that included a bbq grilling set and some weekend vacation that included all sorts of activities. I put on my best acting and sounded devastated and told her, "these prizes are so unfair to me! I can't use any of them! I was born without arms and legs!" I also end up tearing up a little. The lady sounded so apologetic and mortified but I didn't get any more calls after that

Second - pre-covid my apartment complex used to be visited by the Mormons every Sunday. I'd engage on various levels depending on how I was feeling. I had just finished packing my bong when they knocked so I answered holding it and was like "hey, I'm about to hit this and get high. What do you want?" and they looked very upset and just wished me a good day and left. Later I was hanging out with my neighbors and it turns out they were so mad because they knocked on her door earlier and she answered it holding something alcoholic and was told them she was trying to get drunk

(Third - doesn't count - wasting scammers time. If I accidentally answer a scam call I'll waste what time I can. Got a call while I was at my job from windows support calling because they detected some errors on my pc. Took my sweet time with that one, he eventually hung up on me)

This happens somewhat often to me under fairly specific circumstances. If I wake up after I've been asleep for a few hours and then fall back asleep I occasionally have very vivid and sometimes lucid dreams. They're very realistic but something will clue me into the fact I'm dreaming

I've learned to recognize things that alert me to the fact I'm dreaming. Usually it's when I try to write anything on my phone like entering a phone number or texting. It just doesn't work; it's just gibberish. But when things are too strange and I realize I'm dreaming I "wake myself up" while I'm in reality still fast asleep

    Incredible reply, thank you!

I did notice a derth of retropug programs in the US as I've looked them up over the years. It seems I'll need to wait on a healthy-snouted pug. I'm a big proponent of adoption; when the time's right I'll start looking

Moderately interested. I live in an apartment and I've always said that I wouldn't get a dog unless I had a yard. However that possibility seems to be vanishing so I might need to make concessions

Pugs at least are small and my apartment is big enough it could have zoomies. If there was an opportunity to adopt one I'd have a very hard time saying no. I'm in the Pacific Northwest if you know of anyone out this way, I can at least look them up

(The thought of laying in bed cozy with a sleepy pup is making my heart melt. I haven't had a dog for many years now and I very much miss having one)

    Off topic:

Your picture initially loaded, but it now gives an error. Did you remove this post? If not I need to submit a bug report. It happens somewhat often but I think there's a federation bug

    On topic:

I was able to see it for the brief moment and I loved the British outrage
