I mean, the AI hate is unfortunately really justified, for so many reasons. And I say this as someone who appreciates how useful LLMs are at processing language, especially those of the programming variety.

There's the whole billionaire techno fascism trying to use AI as a tool to further enslave us. Or those same people stealing people's work illegally and profiting off of it. The entire consumer tech market being destroyed. The environment. The tax breaks and subsidizing small communities pay to prop up data centers. Those same communities paying more for utilities, while they still CAN afford them. Brain atrophy. The issues the education failing to keep up. Misinformation. Fraud. The list goes on, so so many terrible things.

But yeah, for people who already understand how programming works, it can definitely help save time and effort.

.world isn't the worst option, but if you're looking to escape inexplicable moderation and power tripping self indulgence, you may want to look for another instance to host your account.

Also if you're against genocide, you will have different values than their moderators who are active genocide apologists and use their moderation to silence anyone who stands up against it.

But still plenty of authoritarians who will tell you fascists are a better option than the better options.
