Not sure how applicable, but some of Skyrim's more ethereal NPCs have a 'ghost' effect which causes them to be transparent and monochromatically blue. 'familiars' and 'wolf spirits' appear to be blue wolves due to this.

And New Vegas' K9000 cyberdog gun is also a blue dog, in a way.

Initiative to make it exhorbitantly expensive to request user data from services?
I shudder to imagine what using Google takeout would be like under this.

Good job France for emboldening American big tech's market domination, I guess.

Funnily enough, the newest Elder Scrolls game just got a teaser, so the timing has wound up very fortuitous. Hopefully it means those communities will get a few volunteers and some renewed activity in the near future My thanks for your help :)

I've avoided Tuta for quite a while since I've never really liked how it operates. Unfortunately, when it comes to the degoogling coin, privacy spaces have often left Tuta and Proton on a pedestal, owing to their mission statements and ease of use for non-tech people. I'm always open to talking about better alternatives, but I put aside my grievances for the sake of keeping people away from the really bad actors in the email space.

And yet, the people who chose to make that change were taught to sound aloud, so really it's anyones game as to whichever outcome's better :P

Three cuing, or at least something like it which I cannot be bothered to check the term for is a valid reading technique, the difference being that it requires a certain degree of reading skill beforehand.

Certainly, you've learned a few words off the page, or television purely through context, and that's essentially 'three cuing'. Issue is, it's not an effective introduction to literacy, as it skips the foundational skills to reading. It was introduced based off studies of adult literacy, I believe.

Nature is a beautiful thing, but nature has never been caring. As humans, our entire history has seen our attempts to seperate ourselves from the reality of the natural world.

Perhaps then, we are not so different from the tiny people of Beautiful Darkness, written by Fabien Vehlmann, and wondrously illustrated in watercolour by the artist duo Kerascoët, Beautiful Darkness tells the story of a fairytale society, and their emergence into the real world, as their home; the decaying corpse of a little girl in the woods, begins to deteriorate, and the story of their survival in the aftermath.

At only 112 pages, primarily consisting of artwork, Beautiful Darkness is a great fit for a lazy evening, and my recommendation for you today. :)

    Blurb attached:

Newly homeless, a group of fairies find themselves trying to adapt to their new life in the forest. As they dodge dangers from both without and within, optimistic Aurora steps forward to organize and help build a new community. Slowly, the world around them becomes more treacherous as petty rivalries and factions form.

Or 'What is PeerTube lacking that you simply cannot do without?'

I believe it's a safe assumption that fediverse users want to move away from the monopolies and closed gardens so often associated with video streaming, and yet it's not a task that's ever been made easy. Maybe an ounce of inspiration is the cue we need, and so my question to you is; What's Stopping you from using PeerTube?

Hi, I'm the current owner of the communities !fallout@lemmy.world, and !falloutmods@lemmy.world. I'm currently working to help connect and condense a few communities together, especially in regards to Fallout and The Elder Scrolls, and seeing as the community's moderator has been inactive for well over a year, I would like to be granted ownership of !fallout@sopuli.xyz
    Thanks for your time :)

I have identified the following Fallout and Elder Scrolls communities as having moderators who seem to have been inactive for over a year, and am requesting a moderator position or ownership of the following:
    !fallout3@lemmy.world
    !fo76photography@lemmy.world !fallout_settlements@lemmy.world
    !tes@lemmy.world
    !teslore@lemmy.world
    !skyrim@lemmy.world
    !skyrimmods@lemmy.world
    !oblivionmods@lemmy.world
I am already the owner of the fallout@lemmy.world and falloutmods@lemmy.world communities, which are closely related to the elder scrolls series, and believe it would be best if they had at least one active moderator each.

Edit: I have applied for an account on lemmy.world (rosahaj) to make owner-moderator actions easier, and it would probably be best to wait for that account to be approved before doing any transfer, just to avoid doing so multiple times as Piefed doesn't have transfer capabilities for Lemmy.

Hello, a while ago (a real long while ago) my friend fxomt@lemm.ee and I requested and gained ownership of Fallout@lemmy.world and Falloutmods@lemmy.world respectively. Since then, they seem to have gone missing, as far as having many accounts deleted across platforms. Seeing as this is the case, I believe it would be best to bring the community under my ownership.
