Over the past year, Anthropic has repeatedly flirted with the idea that its AI models could be conscious in some way. “Questions about potential internal experience, consciousness, moral status, and welfare are serious ones that we’re investigating as models become more sophisticated and capable,” ... That same month, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei said on a podcast, “We don’t know if the models are conscious.”

Anthropic bans ‘abusive or cruel behavior’ toward Claude

One question is if you will be using some Xilinx IP, in which case the simulation models likely will be encrypted. If your project doesn't, I don't see why it would be an issue using Icarus, etc.

If all you depend on from the IP is data over an AXI/AXI-stream or the like you can use open-source bus-function models (which I understand as librarues you can use that will take care of properly driving something like an AXI interface for you) in your testbench.

I'm a student myself, Im sharing what I know but this might not be how industry does it.

I'd be interested in seeing performance stats.

I once used an Optane as a cache for my HDD using lvmcache, and had a portion of it as swap, didn't have any trouble with the swap part.

Eric Schmidt in his recent graduation address was booed over his statements on engaging with AI. This video takes a look at another part of his speech that didn't go viral, that makes what he was booed over a lot more empty. He portrays himself a passive observer to what tech has become.

Interesting point. Your comment reminds me of the cartoon mascot Luce they introduced which I remember had memes posted on /r/196 even. Or the saint Carlo Acutis - I never really looked into why he was made a saint but him being young and a gamer/streamer felt like an attempt at relating to younger people.
