I got violently ill from their nuts on an 8 hour road trip. Then my wife got equally violently ill when she ate the nuts when we got home (I thought I just had a bug).

Their restrooms are fine, but I won't go there for anything else.

It's *sshole because it's both a reference to ssh access, and the fact you could log in with the password ***************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************** (or any string over 256 characters long).

The site linked covers it in more detail: https://sshhole.com/

Yeah, the AP hasn't called this yet. Talarico may be heavily favored to win, but there's still a slim chance this doesn't go his way.

Just hold on until we get some better reporting.

(Also wtf is decision desk hq, and why are they wanting me to pay for "pro"?)

Edit: NBC called it for Talarico as others have mentioned, I'm still waiting for AP, but it's looking good for Texas! (Also Texas legislative is looking up for grabs too - at least their house).

    I'm a simple person. I see Ahoy, I upvote.

I know he only releases around 2 video per year, but they always seem amazing. He's in a short list of YouTubers who I support on patreon along with defunctland and noclip.

How fucking hard would it be to just Photoshop that manga to a pair of shorts? It's not like this AI shit even does a decent job of replicating fabric folds.

Probably not much longer than struggling with prompts before this shit comes out.

I hear you, but there's a material difference between

    • if I protest, I could lose my job, family healthcare, and roof over my head
    • I don't want to protest because it's inconvenient/discomforting.

There's also a matter of critical mass. We've had it drilled in our head that unions are bad precisely to discourage group action. If I protest our use of AI at work, or if I want to raise a complaint against the local government, and I'm alone? That will 100% end with severe personal repercussions. If my team of 5 walk out, that's harder to fire all of us, but absolutely doable.

If the entire division walks out, then we have some change leverage.

Now scale this out to the ~340M Americans, and you can see the problem.

Also, critical mass affects the area of effect - if utah loses their shit over something, how does that impact New York? Missouri? Answer, not really at all.

So you need something that will get a critical mass of 340M people, across 3.1M sq miles (8M square kilometers). Can that happen? Sure.

    Sure it can.

    Hi folks,

I was using Lemmy for the better part of two years and thought I'd come over to piefed and see what's up. A few things puzzled me and I'm hoping this is the best place to ask.

    1. It seems all top level comments are locked for replies - is that a server thing? A federation thing?
    2. Scrolling through All, the content just... stops. I'm using the Boost client (maybe that's why?). I get it if I'm sorting by top hour - there's only so much posted per hour. But it's the same for Hot, Scaled, Active, etc.

Edit: looks like both of these are issues with the Boost client. Switching to Summit on Android resolves both.

    Thanks for the help!
