This strip was previously unpublished. I really enjoy Addams unpublished works, the sketched lines, the idea of a joke, some of them turn into a published strip. However, i do think this is one that ever made it into a published strip.

As there was a lot of discussion about Thing, or The Thing, last week i wanted to share another of them.

For those familiar with the show may recognize Lurch is not playing the harpsichord, something he is well known to do.

Since this strip was never published we can only guess at the full nature of it. Grandmama is playing music, Gomez is directing the group consisting of Morticia, who does not appear to be enjoying herself, Fester, who does appear to be having a good time, and number of others i do not recognize, while Lurch serves refreshments, and Thing looks on from the second floor with a party blower.

Are they practicing to go caroling? I think Thing's party favor suggests not. What are they celebrating? Whatever it is, it looks like it is about 6 minutes to midnight. Maybe they are ringing in the new year?

Today's Guestbook Callout:

Boondocks is ..depressing..maybe just too real for it's own good.I can only see a bleak future ahead for it and mankind. (Nuclear weapons, global warming, over-population... and the Boondocks. Mankind’s greatest enemies. - Rhome)

I got so sick of replacing the pump in ours i replaced the washer. Mine was 13 years old i believe, and I replaced the pump 6 times i think. Half of them in a year or so.

I have noticed lately that I have replies to posts and comments, but no notification.

I noticed this post has 8 comments but I have no notifications, upon looking 1 is a top level comment and the rest are replies to that.

I have checked using Mlem, Blorp, and old.slrpnk none show a notification for that comment.

There have been others over the past week or so, this is just the first I investigated.

When asked about his fascination with the animal by [Dick] Cavett, the artist describes anteaters as “angelic.” A master of PR, Dalí knew well by this stage in his career the marketability of his eccentricities but even so, his longstanding affinity to anteaters does seem earnest, and certainly well-documented.

As @JohnnyEnzyme@piefed.social pointed out yesterday, we are seeing some repeats. I explain this in the pinned post.

From the now pinned [Meta] Getting Bloom County Strips Back On Track

the Bloom County Timeline is currently in shambles. I was going to just post the missing strips, but at some point the story line in the book skips around. So, I am going to upload all of the missing strips by month into a single post. The current story line does not actually take place until later on this month, so there will be some repeats.
