Yeah I have heard a podcast about her recently, and apparently the book Year Without Summer talks about how the 1816 eruption of Mount Tambora was so violent that it covered the entire world in ash and caused a mini ice age event. Insane to imagine, but paintings from this time will show the sky with strange colors.

Supposedly the force of this eruption was estimated to be 100x the force of Mount St Helens, which was enough to completely deface a mountain.

Yep, was truly thankful for his efforts while patching my many servers a couple weeks ago, though launchpad.net really needs some more bandwidth to keep up with the demand when the next big vulnerability hits. It's going to be rough when he decides it's not worth his time anymore.

Yeah, possibly. It's been so long that I only vaguely remember the moment and not really sure how he swung the punch or how he held his hand. Just that I barely felt much of anything while he ran in circles before falling down and nearly fainting.

My friend broke his arm by punching my shoulder when we were kids. Must have hit it exactly wrong or something because I felt almost nothing, and it snapped his arm like a twig. That made me feel pretty strong too lol.

I felt bad for a while but 30 years later he still credits me for his career as a musician because he took up learning guitar that summer since he couldn't play outside for a couple months.

I have always thought this order of things as the weirdest/worst order possible and was thinking about this very thing last week in my flights. I do know other countries so it in a sane order, but the US would like to stubbornly so it in the least ideal way. Some airline should start marketing the option to board last since some people are not happy unless they pay extra to set themselves apart from us lowly plebs.
