Most besides Nura (postmarketOS) use the Android kernel and build a Linux userspace on top.

See Halium

If you look at what hardware works on Nura vs on another distro using halium you'll understand why; it's a lot of effort to write drivers for every component in a modern phone.

Doesn't that use Halium to run Linux on the Android kernel? Pretty sure that's what they meant with hardware abstraction. In fact it's what most Linux on mobile distros use, with the exception of the Librem 5 and Pinephone. Nura is the only distro I know of which primarily runs on the mainline Linux kernel.

SCSKiller looks at game files and tries to compile any shaders it finds. This is supposed to reduce stuttering during gameplay due to shader compilation.

The impact varies game to game, depending on how bad that particular title is with shader stuttering. HardwareUnboxed on YouTube did some benchmarks and found some cases where it gives you massive gains while others are the same or worse than the baseline without SCSKiller.

I use migadu. It's the closest you can come to running your own mail server without rubbing your own mail server. You must bring your own domains and you can create as many different mailboxes as you want.

Massively depends on the private tracker. Some have a hard economy where you must seed every byte, but there are plenty of trackers that have bonus points based on seed time and torrent size which you can exchange for download allowances.

Some easy to get in trackers are torrentleech and seedpool, AFAIK both of them have open signups occasionally.
