We cant stay hung up on that, just because other people messed it up.

Yeah, we can't not do eugenics just because bad people did it before and made an awful system out of it that hurt many, many people. Clearly we can do it the right way, and this isn't just the same argument that every horrible person makes to control who can reproduce.

But at what point do societal expectations and pressure override consent in a fully formed and educated human? Is there such a point? Something about this makes me think there is.

You're basically describing an arranged marriage

No joke, I've felt more safe in a room full of trans people than around 1-2 conservatives.

I hate how those fuckers see me as one of them and don't hesitate to share in their bigotry just because I look like I'm one of "them".

Sure, until you realize that Goofrey has videos of Scrooge alone and undressing in front of multiple gosslings... There's a reason Goofrey was able to life the life he had openly and without getting slapped around by the system.

I think he got a sleep study? He got a machine to put onto himself at night to monitor one night of his sleep. We returned the machine with the recorded data, but we never heard back from the doctor. I'm gonna get him to go again, cause it's honestly terrible, on top of that he only sleeps like 6 hours and he doesn't take it seriously at all.

I unfortunately see myself in this, since I only recently did the 'go back to your PCP to follow up on the sleep study' part after a year of not hearing anything back. I really wish I had done so sooner.

Absolutely encourage him to follow up with the doctor, and if at all possible, REREAD the sleep study results and actually understand what it says (research if you have to!). I was regularly getting down below 87% SpO2 (you're not supposed to go below 93%...) and it made me feel like microwaved dogshit. I got a CPAP and it has done wonders for my sleep. I'm actually trying to get my wife to go in for one as well, but it will be interesting to see how we can get the hosing to her spot in the middle...
