Drunk driving on an ebike is substantially less dangerous to the public than a car and should receive substantially weaker punishments accordingly, and manual bikes even less.

No vietnamese agree with me, but I find the bus drivers here so polite to 2 wheelers. They use indicators, they just give a little beep if you're not aware of them, they leave lanes open for us to pass, just the other day I was going around the inside line of a roundabout, and a bus that had the right of way stayed out of my line until I passed instead of making me go behind.

The mirrors on the Mexican buses being right at head level seems so dangerous.

Was going through a green, got hit by a guy going through a red. All people and motorbikes are fine.

spoilerdespite me wearing shorts, tshirt, and flipflops, because I was on my way to pick up laundry.

The police drew a chalk outline of the accident, which as far as I knew was a Hollywood invention from back when they couldn't show bodies.

I guess the trope is so old some cops are like "yeah this is just what you do, I saw it on tv".

Saw this earlier today, talked to the owner, apparently it can't be on the street because it expired before they fixed the law. The new law merely requires yearly inspections after 13 years, but didn't grandfather in all the old bikes.

It does explain why I've seen so many public motorcycle exhibits; if you can't bear to export it, at least you can display them.
