I've been converting my entire docker stack to rootless. You run into a number of issues where certain applications simply cannot handle having that limited access, especially on smaller or more niche projects. The documentation doesn't offer solutions so you are just shit out of luck unless you can troubleshoot it.

I don't find the ubiquity of Steam as strong as it was say 15 years ago. People are far more open to having their games on different platforms, they just don't particularly care for the Epic Games store.

I think the argument you are making is the right one though: you need to offer something different. Serve a different segment, and have some nice features to attract people. That's kind of it.

Is it really controversial to be pro-peace and to not want civilian deaths?

Honestly, I wish white poppies were easier to get a hold of. Finally bought a batch after wanting some for years. More appropriate now than ever.

Remembrance day since 9/11 has just been pro war on terror propaganda and was pretty sickening for me going to school during those years. Got a bunch of friends and other people my age, killed and wounded in Afghanistan for nothing. For me thats what the red poppy reminds me of... that and the embarrassing fact that we need a charity campaign to keep care of our veterans. Maybe the government owes them better care?

How many deaths have we allowed in Ukraine, Gaza/Lebanon/West Bank/Syria etc... and Iran?

It never really occurred to me I might just not have those specific social skills nailed down. 😅 Because irl, I have plenty of ease chatting people up and making new friends. Same with dating or professional networking, it all comes naturally in person.

But online, in writing, it's so awkward for me. I see folks make long term friendships just hanging out in group chats or discord servers. Meanwhile, I manage to just get into arguments and not really manage to share anything interesting about myself otherwise. I might just not be finding my people, but who knows where that is right?

Anyone got pro tips for making friends in text chats or forums?
