Who benefits from the binary view?

Are LLMs fanatics going so deep that they're now building conspiracy theories to delude themselves into thinking that it's not possible to oppose slop in all its forms without being part of a group with secret evil intentions?

This is crazy.

Même s'ils avaient fusillé la foule, le gouvernement réagirait pas plus. C'est pas une erreur ou un réaction de panique, c'est ce qu'ils voulaient, ils s'en cachent pas vraiment hein.

  • Alt text field (lemmy.world)

    Hey,

When creating a post, the alt text field for a picture seems to expect a URL-style content (my keyboard automatically replaces the comma key with a slash, and other little details that make it feel like that), instead of a normal text, so I just thought I'd mention it since I don't think it's a very noticeable thing.

The app is great by the way!

This one was not easy. It is made of an aluminium plate under a brass plate, attached together by handmade rivets (tiny nails, that you hammer down on the pointy side at the back to flatten it and clamp the two plates together).

The big difficulty of this is the rivets, that are already not very easy (for me) to do, but here I had to shape them after bending the curve of the two metal plates. Why? Because if you attach them together, then try to bend them, the outer plate has a flatter curve than the inner one, which misaligns the holes of the rivets. And in the process, starts tearing them and causing damage and other problems.

However, hammering down a tiny nail, while having to make sure that the hammering is done in the proper way, on a non-flat surface, feels a little bit like trying to kill a mosquito with a hammer: it doesn't feel right, and you know that it'll probably end in a disaster.

At least, the little problems that appeared in the process are not too visible, but yeah, I'm not so sure I would want to make this one again :')

A shield and sword pendant. It is made of two metal plates, the first one is made of aluminium, and the top one is brass. the brass plate shows a pattern of a medieval griffon, with inverted "colors" on each half, and is riveted to the aluminium plate to give a 3d effect.
