A few months ago. Was repairing a FANUC robotic arm, and found an incredibly dusty box. At the bottom of it was a few disks marks as "robot"

Had to find a reader, and only one of them was still readable.

I have a genuine question if someone would take the time to answer.

Starlink was throttled. And it seems like musk and trump did it deliberately. So is it not a risk that starlink is being used to spy on the ukrainians on behalf of Russia?

"what has the BBC ever done for me"

It's part of their campaign to try and beg people not to abandon the licence fee.

So, what has the BBC done for me?

    Erased my culture. There.

One of my in-laws is a member of the constabulary.

And I have made my views on Zionism, and our complicity in the genocide of Palestinians clear.

Whilst I know personally they are socially aware (surprising I know for a copper) these comments usually illicit distinct silence. Obviously a level of professionalism.

But I've made it known, I would rather be arrested, tried, and even imprisoned, than to be silent. Then maybe one day in the future when good overcomes evil... I will be on the right side of history.

Not even going to pirate this rubbish.

Everyone involved is now complicit in giving the queen of the TERFs money and drawing more attention to a, quite frankly dull franchise.

People of the world. Hear my wisdom as an "old"

In the before times of home computing, anyone and their mother could make and try to sell video games, floppy disks and cassettes were plentiful. The barrier to entry was essentially non-existent. You could get fully fledged games in magazines. (In fact some magazines included the actual programme for you to type out yourself)

But it turns out when publishers just shovel slop onto the market it drowns out good quality Indy stuff and even some of the high production value games. This feels quite similar to before the great video game crash.

There's a reason Nintendo started putting their "Nintendo seal of quality" on their games. To try and reassure buyers that they didn't just shovel slop people mailed in. At one point you even had to send them a video tape with evidence the game could even be completed. Interestingly that seal is still found on their games.

We've almost returned to that state of low barrier to entry. Digital distribution means there is no real difficulty in physically producing and distributing the game. AI makes it so that anyone's half baked idea can be shoved on Steam.

Don't get me wrong there are many excellent games that would have struggled to make a name for themselves using steams old green light system.

There are two people in my life from Greece. One left because they didn't believe the culture would ever accept them. They are quite Alt and T. My partner 😊

The other who is non-binary and ace remains there. They say that slowly some people are more accepting, but it is very slow.

We actually had a conversation not that long ago about being non-binary in a country that uses an inherently gendered language. I haven't had to speak or live in Greece for 10 years but still know how difficult it can be.

All that to say. I'm sure you're not alone, but fully understand how lonely it can feel.

    Also.

    Δείχνεις υπέροχος 😊

    I remember coming downstairs as a child, and I'm 99.9% certain it was around 10 - 11 pm on 31st December 1999.

Im fairly sure my parents were watching some countdown to the millennium show, and I'm positive it was some music TV station (on sky in the UK). I'll admit that this is slightly based on my knowledge of how my parents celebrate new year.

My vague memory is of some guy getting hassled by punks, that is punk rockers. He may or may not have been in a suit. I seem to recall he was meant to be meek. Anyway I seem to recall he was pushed about, but at some point the leader of the punks pees on him from a height?

No idea of the music playing. But the imagery stuck.

Whilst I was only 7, my parents didn't usher me away, so I don't think it was a spicy movie or anything like that.

    Any thoughts?

Much better! As you can see near perfect.

Before I go into any detail, let me please thank each and every person who commented on my last post. Reddit was my social media of choice way back when I first got this printer, and I recall having an issue then... And the advice on reddit was, nonexistent. within a few minutes of my post yesterday I had several thought out answers. And to my surprise, not one of them were simply "go buy x printer".

So once again thank you for being such a good community!

Now regarding the print.... The bed was cleaned with 99% IPA, I hadn't realized just how superficial a lot of the marks on the print bed were! Came up a treat with alcohol!

I modelled a print to basically stretch across almost the entire width of the print bed, so that I could do a few iterative tests quickly. Simply cleaning the bed definitely increase the adhesion.

Next I bumped up the temperature of both the print head and bed. 220, and 85 dropping to 75 after 10 or so layers. Now this seemed a fraction higher than I would be happy with, but you can't argue with results? And I did use a few different methods to double check the temperatures involved and they were relatively close.

More is a proof of concept at this point, i made a relatively dilute PVA solution and wiped it across the surface... Definitely overkill but by this point the print was adhering perfectly.

But I'd like to share with everyone here, a revelation. Using only cutting edge techniques, that is, my eyes.... I read the label on the side of the spool which quite clearly said PETG. Which might explain a little bit of my difficulty 😂

Thanks again to everyone in the community.

I'm trying to get back into 3d pruning after a long hiatus.

I found my old Anycubic Chiron, and thought I'd give it a go. Smaller prints seem fine. But anything longer than an hour. Come off like this. I say that what I mean is I excitedly take the multi hour print off the bed in excitement and for get to look at how it is.

The two longer prints definitely were at least in part still adhered to the print bed despite it being cold.

My next plan is to set a print away and check on it every hour or so and see if one side of the print has warped mid print (so far I've been printing before I go to bed, and only watching the initial couple of layers).

My guess it that the (pla+) filament is warping mid print... Its old I'll admit. But was stored in an airtight container with silica packs, and I dried it out before using. But any of your thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

prints appear to be lifting in one corner.
