That has 8GB RAM. The only reason the Pi in the headline is so expensive is the 16GB RAM. As others mentioned, the 1GB or 2GB options are a fraction of the cost.
I was a data analyst/engineer in the government when we got told our government wanted a list of all algorithms used across government.
We had to seek clarity on that one, in the end it turned out there was media attention around computer decision making in application processes and they were wanting to track that.
I thought that too, and I thought the review was multiple governments back, but it seems one was done in 2023 with a recommendation to make the threshold 3.5% and drop to coat-tails rule (parties not meeting the threshold can currently bring in list MPs "on their coat-tails" if they get one electorate. E.g you get 3% of the party vote = 3 mps but you get 0 because you don't meet the threshold, oh but if you get 1 electorate MP now you are allowed all 3 MPs based of vote share. This change would mean you only get your electorate MP unless you meet the threshold).
Some other recommendations too, like lowering the voting age to 16: https://www.rnz.co.nz/news/politics/491390/electoral-system-review-recommends-voting-age-lowered-to-16-party-threshold-to-3-point-5-percent
Yeah I agree, I want there to be lots of parties and lots of options for how government can be formed so they can all negotiate policies properly.
Honestly I don't think we're headed for a Green/Act, I think National/Labour will likely continue to trend down, and will be replaced with more coalitions between 3+ parties. One thing that has plagued MMP is that we end up with a small number of parties in parliament and one small party with the power to decide who gets to govern. I'm looking forward to all the minor parties having to make concessions instead of demands.
I was explaining to my kids about floppy disks, and mentioned the save icon. The what? The button you press to save. It just says "save" they said.
I think they use the Google suite at school, and apparently the save button just says "save". Although TBH I half expected them to not know of it because of auto-saving.
Yeah I don't think people defederate based on what happens on your own instance, only what flows to other instances.
If you wanted to help trump, encouraging people not to vote would be almost as good as getting them to vote trump. So I'm not convinced these aren't more Russian bot campaigns.
Jellyfin needs to handle all kinds of media. I tend to use Finamp for music and Findroid for TV/movies. Both support offline play, which last I checked Jellfin's app still doesn't.
I tried a few before settling on those, but I hadn't heard of Jellybox until now so not sure how it compares.
I voted. Not from the US but that didn't stop me. Come at me ICE.
I mean what is cheating?
I agree it's at least not immoral cheating.
Here's me playing on easy and looking up walkthroughs or help threads when I can't get past a boss.
Replies on thread: yes, this part is annoying, just put it on easy for this bit and you'll fly through.

As others say, buy a domain so it's easier in the future.
But one thing what helped me was relay email addresses. Whether that's Addy, Simplelogin (now owned by proton so probably not), Firefox Relay, or another. When you sign up to shit, buy something, etc, use one of these email addresses. When you eventually move to your new email address, you can cutover all those accounts to the new one by changing the settings for where it forwards email to.
You can also use your own domain with a catchall and make up your own whatever@yourdomain if you're ready for that.
