My Dad's side of the family is Ukrainian and my grandmother was actually abducted by Russians in '42 and shipped to Berlin to work in a laundromat cleaning Nazi uniforms. Every time the subject of Russia came up when I was a kid she would say "Russians are all cheaters and liars" and we would laugh and say "Oh, Grandma." She died about a year before the war broke out and I always think about that. She loved Berlin though, said it was the cleanest city she'd ever seen.

Jim Johnson - the people should have affordable healthcare and groceries - 50.5%
John Jimson - let's put brown people in concentration camps - 48.5%

I am happy for the wave but i can never get over how insane the margins are...

Old people have been saying that about all technology since the beginning of recorded history. it just means that people don't stay exactly the same as they have always been. Novels were mocked as being foolish, books themselves were mocked when they replaced tablets, i mean it goes on and on. And you're right that abilities may atrophy. Do people have poorer handwriting now? Yes. Does it matter at all? Not really. I think you're wrong though about memory atrophying. I have been using computers and cell phones since I was a child, and I have excellent memory. Regarding navigation via phone - Can I conduct orienteering with a map? No. Does it matter at all? Not really.
