I have partially transitioned from macOS to Linux, in my experience the main thing is to migrate services such as email and passwords. Once you're using something open source for those on your I devices you're way less locked in. iCloud wise I'd recommend getting a managed nextcloud instance. It has a lot of the features you need and provides platform agnostic sync. Also, you don't need to manage your own it security which is a plus is you're not super technical.

This bubble is going to pop and then suddenly every tech company is too big to fail and every exec will be given a golden parashute. Atleas that is what the future looks like if we let them decide. I'd argue for some good French style justice and socialising profits and stolen assets

  • I mean yes and no. LLMs are a tool and you should be well versed in using them as a part of your toolbox. Don't use it to replace proper planning or actually thinking about what you want to make. Also remember that LLMs are massively subsidised at the moment, figuring out how to run stuff locally and use less powerful models for stuff is a good idea. When the music stops llm tokens will drastically increase in price.
