Finished Circe by Madeline Miller. I did enjoy. Was not blow me away good but may try some of her other stuff in the future.

Still reading Amber and Iron. It is what I expect nothing amazing but solid D&D book.

Started Iron Gold the fourth book in Red Rising? Or book 1 of the second part of it? I dunno. Just started and going to have to get used to the shifting main character narrative trope again. Been a minute i feel like since i have read a book like this.

    Nearing the end of Circe by Madeline Miller. I have very much enjoyed it.

    Started Amber and Iron by Margeret Weis. Its book 2 in a trilogoy i started a little while back? It is a d&d book so its not gonna be great by any stretch but at least or hopefully entertaining. Jumped to some new books i got before going back to this. Really want to push through this trilogy and maybe another book or two before i get back to the He who fights with Monsters series. Think its like 12 or so books so feels like that is an undertaking. Also i have had far better luck reading litrpg books in a physical copy vs audiobooks so i dont even think they are all out in physical editions yet.

    He will never sit. He will drag it out as long as possible, or at least until after the midterm.

    If I learned anything from Knowledge Fight, its that you can stretch out sitting for a deposition and court case for fucking years.

    Did not have a ton of time to read this week. I did finish The Memory Police. I really enjoyed it. Not entirely sure i am on tack with how I interpreted it? I probably still need to think on it.

    Made little progress in He who fights with Monsters book 1, but its really growing on me. The MC is kind of annoying but everything else I like from the powers to how the world interacts and feels like things continue to happen even when we dont see them. The supporting cast feels importent too where as in DCC it really only felt like we cared abour Carl and Donut for quite some time.

    Did start Circe by Madeline Miller. I am enjoying so far but only a few chapters in.

    US slaps import ban on Canadian alcohol and other goods (www.bbc.com)
     

    The US is banning Canadian products, including alcohol, dairy and motor vehicles, as Canadian retaliatory tariffs on American goods come into force.

    In a series of executive orders on Tuesday, US President Donald Trump wrote that Canada is "discriminating" against the commerce of the United States, and ordered the import ban, which will begin 29 September.

    Earlier on Tuesday, Canada Prime Minister Mark Carney said in a video address that his country's pivot away from the US as its largest trading partner "will come at a cost".

    Both US and Canadian officials have said they would like to strike a deal, but no new talks have been scheduled since negotiations collapsed in late August.

    The US is Canada's largest trading partner - generally more than two-thirds of its total exports go to its neighbour.

    The BBC has contacted the office of the Prime Minister of Canada for comment.

    Last month, the White House had imposed 50% tariffs on around $20bn (£14.8bn) of Canadian goods after several rounds of talks had broken down.

    Those tariffs hit sectors including Canada's furniture and wine industries, as well as sporting and fishing equipment businesses.

    Canada responded with dollar-for-dollar retaliatory tariffs on US goods like steel, clothing and furniture. The counter-duties came into effect after midnight on Tuesday.

    The import ban announced by Trump in response targets various alcoholic drinks and dairy products like whey, according to a series of White House statements signed by the president on Tuesday.

    Canada is "discriminating" against US businesses by restricting the distribution of US goods while not doing the same to such products from other countries, the White House said.

    Tension between the two countries have also expanded beyond tariffs.

    In August, Trump ordered Lake Ontario to be renamed as Lake America, resulting in uproar from Canadians and some Americans.
