A major milestone for David Morales.

Independent wrestler David Morales became the Mayor of Providence, Rhode Island during the 2026 Midterm Elections.

Below is an excerpt from Ocean State Media:

“Known for his bright suits and his progressive politics, Morales represents a new generation of leadership for Rhode Island’s capital, promising to take the city in a new political direction.

The city’s voters enthusiastically gave him a mandate. The democratic socialist won more than 80% of the vote against Republican David Talan.

“Across Rhode Island, and right here in our capital city of Providence, our neighbors voted overwhelmingly for the change that they deserve,” he said in his victory speech.

As Providence’s 40th mayor, he will be the youngest the city has ever elected. Before Morales’s victory Tuesday, that title belonged to Joseph Paolino Jr., elected in 1984 at age 29.”

Morales has been involved with Rhode Island’s Renegade Wrestling Alliance since 2021, performing under the name “The Commissioner.”

Enzo Amore is reportedly headed back to WWE.

Mike Johnson at PWInsider reports that “there are people backstage who believe Amore signed a new deal with WWE over the last week.”

Enzo is reportedly headed to NXT.

WrestleVotes reported at the beginning of October, “there is a feeling in WWE creative that the audience is waiting for Enzo Amore, and that this is hampering what creative can do with Big Cass.”

Enzo was released by WWE in January 2018 after allegations of sexual assault, which he denied. In May 2018, the Phoenix Police Department ceased their investigation due to insufficient evidence.

He has since competed for various promotions, including TNA Wrestling and MLW. He has wrestled under the names nZo and Real1.

I swear this is like the third time he's supposedly signed with them again this year, so I guess we'll see.

Taya Valkyrie has parted ways with AEW, she announced on Wednesday.

After spending the past few years on the AEW and ROH roster, Valkyrie revealed this week that she chose not to extend her current deal with the company. Instead, she is choosing to hit the free agency market.

“I am incredibly grateful for my time with AEW and the opportunity to be part of the organization,” Valkyrie said in a statement. “While there, I wrestled and worked alongside exceptional talent, and built lasting relationships within the AEW family and deepened my relationships in the wrestling community. I am beyond thankful to the fans for their continues support of me, not only in mty time with AEW but also as I step into this new chapter as a free agent.”

Valkyrie, a former AAA Reina de Reinas Champion and ex-TNA Knockouts Champion, has been making appearances on AEW programming since 2023. Along with her work as a singles talent, she has been seen alongside Johnny TV and MxM Collection in recent years.

Sheamus has pushed back on being described as a former wrestler, saying he’s simply taking a “long vacation” following his WWE departure.

Sheamus became a free agent on October 1 when his WWE contract expired. During an interview with Telemundo Deportes, Sheamus was referred to as an “ex-luchador.”

Sheamus responded:

“Did you say ex-luchador? I’m just taking time off. I’m just chilling, I’m just relaxing. I’m on vacation. A long vacation.”

The interview took place while Sheamus attended the Bundesliga Haus in Chicago on Saturday, October 31, which was a watch party for the Borussia Dortmund vs. Bayern Munich soccer match.

Last week, Fightful Select reported that there isn’t a “huge urgency” to bring Sheamus into AEW. The report also mentioned that AEW wrestlers such as Claudio Castagnoli and Adam Copeland have made it clear that they would like to see Sheamus in the company.

Shortly after TNA Bound for Glory, it was revealed that TNA had reached out to Sheamus about answering Moose’s open challenge at the event, a role that ultimately went to Max Caster.

In a July interview with Adam’s Apple, Sheamus addressed his WWE departure, stating that he has no regrets regarding his WWE career and that “some circumstances came up” that he was unable to speak about.

With midterm elections on Tuesday, Mick Foley put out a new video encouraging fans to vote.

Foley noted that he is registered as an Independent before saying, “I’m asking you to consider voting in a way you otherwise might not, to stop the corruption. This man, Donald Trump, seems to think he can do whatever he does without the oversight of Congress, and up until now, he’s been largely correct. These men and women lack the fortitude, the courage, the backbone, and let’s call it what it is, they lack the balls to stand up to the most corrupt President in the history of the United States.”

Foley stated people are currently seen as numbers and not humans, noting the closure of USAID. It said it was the most effective aid organization in history and that 600,000 humans have died who otherwise would be alive. He called out Elon Musk for his role in closing USAID and Congress for not speaking up.

He also referenced how many members of Congress wanted to to withhold the Epstein Files because of Trump’s bidding. He mentioned gas prices rising due to the war, saying, “Only Congress has the right to declare war, and they did not, but they refuse to speak up and put pressure on the President because they are afraid of him.”

He closed by pleading to reasonable people who care about humans. He went through his injury history and said there was a high likelihood that his life would come to an end because of dementia from head injuries that will affect him for the rest of his life, in reference to how much he’s sacrificed and how little he made compared to Eric Trump, who has done nothing.

Foley cut ties with WWE earlier this year over their ties to the Trump administration.

‘The Demon’ Finn Balor Returns On 10/30 WWE SmackDown, Takes Out Gunther

‘The Demon’ Finn Balor returns on WWE programming.

On Danhausen’s Very Nice, Very Evil WWE SmackDown this week, the wrestler said that he would reveal his “most evil experiment” on the show.

Corey Graves argued that it would be the revived Gingerbread Man, but that wasn’t it.

Danhausen shows up to reveal his big experiment, but he gets interrupted by Gunther. A group of Minihausens shows up to overwhelm The Ring General, but he gets past them. The lights suddenly turn red, and “The Demon” Finn Balor makes his entrance.

He was Danhausen’s evil experiment.

Balor and Gunther then had a brawl, which ended with the latter getting hit with a Coup De Grâce from the top of the ladder through the announce table.

Balor and a visibly injured Danhausen do his signature pose to close the segment.

The last time fans saw The Demon on WWE programming was at WrestleMania 42, where he wrestled Dominik Mysterio in a Street Fight.

The article has embedded tweets with clips, but here's the full segment on YouTube if you prefer.

There reportedly will be a shake-up to WWE’s creative and writing leadership following WrestleMania 43.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider reported on Monday that WWE’s Executive Director – Creative Writing & Talent, Bruce Prichard, is expected to retire from his position at WrestleMania 43 next year. While he is departing from his full-time position at the company, the expectation is that he will remain connected with WWE as a consultant and work from home in Texas.

On Thursday, PWInsider, citing multiple sources, reported that current head of NXT and Senior Vice President of Talent Development, Shawn Michaels, will step into Prichard’s role. Michaels, 61, is a close friend of WWE Chief Content Officer Paul Levesque and has been in his NXT role since September 2021.

PWInsider added that this succession plan had been in place for some time and that Michaels will start to prepare for his new role months in advance.

Nick Khan reportedly had talks with former WWE writer Vince Russo. This comes a month after Russo announced his departure from Juggalo Championship Wrestling (JCW), where he had been involved in on-screen and creative decisions for nearly a year.

According to Fightful Select, the nature and seriousness of the conversations between Khan and Russo remain unclear. Sources familiar with the situation indicated that Russo may have visited WWE HQ at one point, or that a visit was being considered. However, neither Russo nor any WWE representative has publicly commented on the situation.

Russo was associated with WWE in the 1990s and briefly again in the early 2000s. He also contributed to WCW and TNA Wrestling.

Last month, Russo announced his departure from Juggalo Championship Wrestling (JCW), where he had been involved in both on-screen and creative roles for nearly a year.

Conrad Thompson wrote an article for Yahoo Sports about it that I've heard good things about, but haven't read myself.

Meltzer noted that an upcoming boxing card featuring Canelo Alvarez is serving as a benchmark to decide what WWE should do

But if things go wrong during the boxing event, or even after the boxing show, before the next RAW and before Tuesday, WWE might reconsider its next step.

Jay White’s newly formed AEW faction has apparently undergone a name change just hours after being introduced as The Last Outfit.

White opened Collision alongside members of the Bang Bang Gang and The Dogs and formally introduced their alliance as The Last Outfit.

However, AEW subsequently released a digital exclusive in which White referred to the group by a different name.

White said he and his allies were “right at home in the chaos” before turning his attention toward AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley and the Death Riders.

We are the last outfit capable of slicing out the cancer that is Jon Moxley and the Death Riders from the heart of AEW. We are The Cut.

AEW’s official Collision results page has also been changed to identify the faction as The Cut, including in its headline and references to the group throughout the report.

The reason for the apparent name change is not known.

During the live Collision broadcast, White had briefly teased calling the group Bullet Club before rejecting the idea. He said AEW required something more than a “club” or a “family,” leading to his announcement of The Last Outfit.

The Cut consists of White, Juice Robinson, Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn, Ace Austin, David Finlay and Clark Connors.

White defeated Kyle O’Reilly in Saturday’s main event before the faction became involved in a brawl with the Conglomeration and Death Riders. He has also made clear that Moxley’s Continental Championship is among his targets.
