I promise you a good stylist worth their salt would be devastated to give you a bad haircut even just accidentally... we WANT people to like our work, we want you to come back. Your hair looking good is our portfolio and word of mouth is our bread and butter. Plus a shitload of us are LGBTQ+ or allies anyways... hair is hair is hair regardless of who it is on and we are in the business of affirmation

For the record open invitation to anyone here if they want to send advice requests or ask if a style will suit them. A lot of us get into this business because making you feel good makes us feel good. Nothing makes me happier than knowing i made someone feel good about themselves.

Good praxis to avoid any kind of TERF or bigot in th9se industries because i swear theyre always the salon owners or stylists who will give you shitty sexisy unsolicited opinions on your aesthetic and will alienate their clients and end up burning out because people who arent also assholes dont like that

Like ive met these people and the bigotry is never in a vaccuum without other dogshit opinions AND its just stupid as a business owner to turn away a paying customer.

To be honest im kind of surprised he backtracked, i was fully certain he would let people die and perpetuate an outbreak just to stick to his schtick

Tbh if someone else has taken over that is way more optimal because this would be my first time but I miss that sub and im sad to see it closed here

Ideally if it were opened to me I would just immediately recruit a couple more people just to get it going but we need our canadian shitposting and memeing in canada back again :(

But I also can put it in writing that if I suck I will lock it again

Automod bugged out and banned me forever from reddit, i want to explore more Lemmy now but am not sure if Im missing anything good im not directly looking for--i am also kinda autistic and oblivious so if there are instances with a bad history or full of chuds or something a heads up would be swell

Just out of curiosity. Landed myself in a permanent ban that seems to be tied to my device so no more reddit ever I guess (now that they've walled off browsing behind accounts) but the circumstances of the ban were what seems to be a bug involving the ban evasion filter that I cant even submit a ticket about because all bug reports are in a subreddit :')

Is this just me? I had a ban from a subreddit, it appeared to have run down, went to post in the community and got two comments out before being flagged for "ban evasion" because turns out there were 2 days left and Im bad at counting I guess womp womp. But this led to being flagged for evading a ban on the account that had the ban which is weird.

Ive never had it happen before where a comment even registered in a banned community, there was no pinned message, genuinely seemed all clear. Is this a fluke? How did that even happen?
