Pokémon Go is still going, and it has been doing some very weird things while I wasn’t looking.

The game has spent years getting players to scan real-world locations, which later became useful for training robots, smart glasses and other AI systems. Very normal Pokémon stuff.

So I’m looking at what Niantic did with all that data, how Pokémon Go ended up connected to delivery robots and military technology, and why millions of people are still happily playing it.

A local creator gave a shout out to this short film, and I loved it.

The experiment where people started defending the opposite opinion of what they actually believed 2 minutes ago, via a simple sleight of hand was absolutely mind-blowing to me.

The psychological fuckery that we much be all around us constantly and we don't know about or recognise must be insane.
